If you don’t give your puppy a proper outlet for chewing, then they are more likely to nip or bite you and things in your house. Just like human babies, puppies have a natural need to chew as their adult teeth grow in. Bully sticks, frozen carrots, and filling a hard rubber toy with peanut butter then freezing it are all great options for your teething puppy. Make sure to rotate your puppy’s toys. If he always has access to them then he will get bored and will chew on things he shouldn’t like your hand or the table leg. If he does bite or nip you, say “nope” in a calm tone, fold your arms and remove all attention for two seconds before giving him a toy or bone that he can chew on.
