Dog listening carefully

AZ Family/CBS 5 recently interviewed Jo Ann Wickens from Dogtopia of Arcadia on ways to keep your dog cool in the summer. The hotter months can be a lot of fun for dogs, but it’s important to protect your pup from soaring temperatures.

Make sure to remember that if you’re hot, your doggie probably is, too.  Providing your four-legged friend with lots of water (not from a metal dish) and doggie booties can help keep them safe during the high heat. One creative tip that Jo Ann shares is to freeze your dog’s toys in the freezer. Whether its a tennis ball or a chew toy, it’s a great way to cool off your dog while giving them a little extra hydration.
