dressed dogs

Pets are family and this day was created to make it a special day for them and to also support the pet fashion community. This day was created in 2009 by celebrity pet lifestyle expert and animal behaviorist Colleen Paige. It’s a great way to express your pet’s diva side, and yours too! Matching outfits are always encouraged.

You should avoid loose or dangling pieces if your pet likes to chew to prevent choking hazards. Please remember to keep them safe and in comfortable pet clothing or costumes that you chose, so be sure that it fits. Restricting their movement or ability to breathe properly could cause an illness or an injury. If your pet doesn’t like dressing up, just let them sit this holiday out (there are plenty more for you both to enjoy!).

Showcase your pet’s costume on social media by using the hashtag #DressUpYourPetDay to bring joy to your friends and family or even strangers. Don’t forget to tag us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter too! We love your pets like family, because they are family.
