Charlotte team

If this is your pup’s first time at Dogtopia, there are a few things pet parents should prepare prior to rewarding your dog with the most exciting day ever!

As Dogtopians, we're a unique breed, we love and care for your pup like our own furry family.

At Dogtopia, our passion is giving every single dog the best-individualized care with their health, safety, and comfort as our top priority! Our home away from home environment is the perfect place for your pup to learn, play, and socialize with their BFFF (Best Furry Friend Forever).

Meet the Team

Nicole, Owner

After volunteering in Louisiana with dogs displaced by Hurricane Katrina, Nicole grew passionate about opening her own business. She paired her military life with her personal life to arrive at the perfect career: a dog daycare franchisee. Her own Akita, coincidentally named Katrina, had attended daycare at Dogtopia of Tysons Corner, VA for some time. Nicole enjoyed the atmosphere and consummate service she received there and felt it would be a natural fit for her own entrepreneurial adventure. In March 2010, Dogtopia of Charlotte opened its doors. Nicole currently lives in Southwest Charlotte with her husband Graham, their three daughters, and their two dogs, Penny and Jack. When not at Dogtopia, she enjoys volunteering, reading and knitting.

Holly, General Manager

Holly started with Dogtopia of Charlotte in April 2014 as a Canine Coach and worked her way up the ranks to become our General Manager in November 2016. Holly’s passion is the dogs that come to play at Dogtopia and she hopes to own her own daycare someday. Holly is a native-Charlottean. She is owned by her pitbull mix Hope, her rottweiler Gary, and her four cats Cory, Topanga, Taz and Ava.

Shift Manager Garrett

Garrett, Shift Manager

Garrett has been working with Dogtopia of Charlotte since March 2015. In his spare time Garrett roots for the Carolina Panthers and enjoys playing a board game called “Go”. His favorite part about working with us is getting to know so many different dogs, like his buddy Sofa (pictured). Garrett adopted his first dog, Riley the Pitbull mix, in 2016 from Animal Control.

Jennifer, Shift Leader

Jennifer began working with Dogtopia in August 2018. She is a hiking loving Texan who is majoring in engineering. Jennifer loves to spend her days cuddling with her dog Bingo.

Karen, Shift Leader

Karen moved to Charlotte from New Jersey in the summer of 2018 and has been with us since September 2018. Karen loves taking care of all the dogs that come to play with us, but she especially loves helping to coax our shy friends out of their shells. We’re so glad she’s a part of our team!
