It wasn&#8217;t long after he researched the franchise company that he decided he wanted to share this great opportunity with other Houston-area dog lovers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">With Julie Dow, the franchise&#8217;s general manager, on board with Puryear, the company&#8217;s first franchise in the Lone Star State is sure to prosper. Dow has worked with Puryear for more than five years and in the pet care industry for almost 20 years as a pet health product representative, a veterinary assistant, a dog-sitter and a groomer. Don and Julie are both certified in pet first aid, senior pet care, pet dental care, and canine massage.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">A long-time resident of the city, Puryear earned his Bachelor&#8217;s and law degrees from the University of Houston and currently resides there with his two-year-old Yorkshire Terriers, Spike and Daisy.
