Before your dog begins daycare (or boarding) with us, you\u2019ll need to schedule<\/a> a Meet & Greet with one of our experienced and certified staff members. This meeting will give us a chance to determine if your pup will enjoy our environment and to assign them to the playgroup that will provide them with the most like-minded friends. Dog socialability is a spectrum and most dogs are “dog selective” to some degree. Dogs who will thrive at Dogtopia show an interest in meeting new friends, enjoy playing and interacting with others, are comfortable going to new places, are responsive to basic cues, and read other dogs’ body language and signals well. Your dog’s safety and comfort are important to us, which is why we practice only the most modern dog-care skills and apply our dog language, dog behavior and group play knowledge to supervise healthy play among the dogs. We utilize techniques that are founded in positive reinforcement and the science of how dogs learn. We are one of two dog care facilities in Wisconsin that is owned and operated by a board-Certified Professional Animal Care Operator who is also certified in Fear Free daycare and boarding practices. Every member of our Leadership Team holds various certifications related to dog care and we are proud to have a CPDT-KSA Dog Trainer and CBCC-KA Behavior Consultant serving as our Manager of Education.
