- Unlike other facilities that may use cement, our flooring provides a comfortable surface for dogs to play on, thanks to its compressed rubberized material. This design helps maintain the health of their hips, joints, and paw pads. Our flooring will feel like your pup is wearing the comfiest sneakers!<\/li>\n
- To maintain cleanliness, our facility uses an advanced HVAC system that filters fresh, clean air\u00a0into our playrooms every 11 minutes. This system\u00a0also allows us to control the climate of each playroom so we can keep the temperature just right no matter what the weather is like outside.<\/li>\n
- To enhance security, we have installed double-barrier doors that provide additional space between our playrooms and the main hall. That way, all entries and exits are carefully controlled and monitored.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Our spacious outdoor play area has been designed to provide a safe and easy to clean large grass-like turf area for dogs to enjoy the fresh outdoor air and continue to make BFFFs\u00ae (Best Furry Friends Forever). This outdoor play area is available for pups to play year-round so they can enjoy nature in the snow and in the sunny summertime – many fun pool parties are ahead.<\/p>\n
HOME AWAY FROM HOME FOR OVERNIGHT BOARDING STAYS<\/h2>\n
At Dogtopia of St. Paul - University Ave, your pup enjoys a staycation\u2014not just a place to sleep. Dogs spend their days in dog daycare, playing with friends, getting exercise, and enjoying outdoor time\u2014then settle in for a calm, comfortable night. Our dog boarding in the Twin Cities includes safe, cozy crating, with optional private suites for added comfort.<\/p>\n

Our fully equipped dog spa offers a range of spa and grooming treatments to help keep your dog looking and feeling their best. We provide a variety of treatments, including nail trims, baths, ear cleaning, de-shedding, teeth cleaning, and more. Whether your dog needs a simple bath or a full spa day, we make sure they leave feeling pampered and refreshed!<\/p>\n
DOG DAYCARE AND BOARDING REQUIREMENTS<\/h2>\n
Before your dog can visit our facility, they must first check off the following requirements:<\/p>\n

- Spayed\/neutered if seven months and older (may differ depending on development)<\/li>\n
- Vaccinated with an updated record, including Bordetella, Rabies, and DHLPP\/DHPP (also known as distemper\/parvo)<\/li>\n
- Free from any communicable conditions like fleas or ticks and in good overall health<\/li>\n
- Non-aggressive<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

DOGTOPIA\u2019S MEET & GREET ASSESSMENT<\/h2>\n
We’re excited to welcome you and your furry companion to our facility! Our Meet & Greet<\/a> is a 20\u201330-minute evaluation designed to help our team determine if an off-leash, open-play environment is a good fit for your dog. All Dogtopia locations implement this assessment; it\u2019s just one of the ways we ensure a safe space for all doggie guests to thrive.<\/p>\n
We\u2019ll review your dog\u2019s health history, complete a brief check, and introduce them to a small group to assess comfort, play style, and social skills in our open-play dog daycare environment. We\u2019ll also familiarize them with rest areas used for daycare and overnight boarding.<\/p>\n
While your pup participates, we\u2019ll give you a tour and answer any questions about our dog daycare and boarding services.<\/p>\n
After the assessment, we\u2019ll let you know if your dog is ready to join daycare. If so\u2014they can start right away!<\/p>\n

We are conveniently located near the University of Minnesota, St. Thomas University, College of St. Catherine, Hamline University, and Macalester College, making us a quick drop-off and pick-up on your way to and from class.<\/p>\n
If you’re traveling by car, our location has easy access from I-94, making commuting a breeze. We also have an abundance of free parking in the rear of our building, entering from University Avenue or Myrtle Street, including 16 parking spaces, convenient for safe pick-up and drop-off. We\u2019re also located on the Green Line Light Rail, running along University Ave.<\/p>\n
Although we\u2019re located in St. Anthony Park, we also proudly welcome pet parents from Prospect Park, Merriam Park, Mac-Groveland, Highland, Como, St. Paul, Hamline – Midway and surrounding suburbs, NE Minneapolis, and downtown Minneapolis.<\/p>\n
We are actively involved in our community and have developed partnerships with Canine Inspired Change and Dog Haus Mobile Vet. We can\u2019t wait to broaden our reach in the years to come!<\/p>\n
