Quenippenon Park, which is located near Erin Mills Parkway and Erin Centre Blvd (just north of Eglinton Rd. and next to the Streetsville Pumping Station), is referred to as “Q Park” by the locals and boasts a fantastic dog park. To enter the park, take Erin Mills Parkway southbound, or Middlebury Drive.
The park is usually not too busy, which means that you and your dog will have a lot of the space to yourself. One of the dog park areas is easily visible from the road, but is fenced off so there is no danger of dogs running onto the road and into traffic.
Q Park is very open, providing a lot of room for you and your dog to play. There is a bulletin board for posting local information and events, and two fully fenced in areas for leash-free play. Depending on the time of day, the park also provides a decent amount of shade for your dog to cool down in. Q Park is open from 7 AM until 11 PM. Membership is available for $10 one dog, or $15 for multiple dogs.
Outdoor dog parks are not for every dog (or every owner). Some people do not have enough time to take their dog to the park, while some dogs also prefer an indoor atmosphere while playing. Luckily for the dog owners in those situations, Dogtopia provides a fully supervised, and fully safe indoor environment for dogs. We also offer short-term and long-term boarding, as well as grooming services.
