At Dogtopia of Viera, dogs enjoy open-play, off-leash fun where they run, play, learn, and socialize to become better canine citizens. We separate dogs by size, personality and temperament into three separate playrooms. That way, our daycare pups feel free to be themselves with like-minded furry friends.

We place pups under 25 lbs in our Toy Box, energetic medium-sized dogs in the Romper Room, and larger, more mature dogs in the Gym. Each playroom stays bright and climate-controlled at a comfortable 65–70°F, making indoor play a cool and fun experience no matter the weather. Additionally, we have equipped HVAC systems that help circulate and keep the air fresh in each playroom.

Playroom Design

When constructing our playrooms, we used compressed rubberized flooring, which is ideal for the long-term health of your dog’s hips, paw pads, and joints, and also allows for quick “in the moment” clean-ups. Each playroom is fully enclosed with walls—not just fencing—helping reduce airborne germs and keeping pups focused on their own furry friend group without distractions from next door.

Canine coach Education

To ensure every dog’s safety, our expert Canine Coaches supervise and engage with pups in each playroom. Skilled in dog behavior, they notice subtle cues and make sure every dog enjoys tail-wagging fun. Plus, they observe interactions throughout the day and share highlights with pet parents via regular report cards.

SAFETY AND CLEANLINESS AT DOGTOPIA OF Viera

Cleanliness is a top priority—we want every pup to feel their best while playing, learning, exercising, and socializing throughout the day. That’s why we follow strict cleaning protocols designed by Dogtopia’s Veterinary Scientist and Environmental Biologist, sanitizing all surfaces with dog-safe products several times a day.

In addition to the steps we take inside our playrooms, we also ensure that each pup that enters our facility passes our Meet & Greet. This is an evaluation performed by our expert team that ensures our open-play, off-leash play environment is a good fit for all. During this time, we create a controlled mini-play area to determine how your dog plays with other furry friends and how they respond to interactions from our staff. We also assess their comfort level in our home-style crates, which is where they nap during the day.

To ensure all dogs at Dogtopia of Viera feel their best, we start with a nose-to-tail evaluation. Then, we review your pup’s health history, share wellness observations, and confirm they’re up to date on vaccines like DHLPP/DHPP, Rabies, and Bordetella. Additionally, pups should be at least 12 weeks old, and those over 7 months need to be spayed or neutered.
