Smith Family, Owners
Dogtopia Columbus–Downtown is owned by the Smith family, who have always believed that dogs bring out the best in us. Their own dog, Ozzie—a handsome, goofy sheepadoodle—has inspired their vision to create a daycare and boarding center where every pup is treated with the same care, patience, and affection received at home. With two kids who adore dogs and love stopping in to help and play, the Smiths are building a truly family-run doggie daycare. Their mission is simple: to provide the safest, most joyful, high-quality experience where every pup is welcomed, loved, and treated like one of their own.
Josie Topping, General Manager
Josie has been part of Dogtopia for 3 years, where she first started as a Canine Coach and loves to take care of all kinds of doggies. She’s lived in Columbus her whole life and has 3 dogs and 2 cats. She has a special interest in digital pet portraits! She’s here to ensure your pups have a great experience, as she loves helping make each day the most exciting day EVER!
Kaelyn Smith, Pet Parent Relationship Manager
Kaelyn is a 2024 college graduate from Marietta College with a BA in Marketing and a minor in Psychology. She grew up in West Virginia and after college moved to Columbus to be closer to family again. Growing up she was around dogs all the time and has loved them her whole life. She has a passion for making our furry friends’ lives as amazing as possible when they’re with us!
