Meet the Owner
For me, Dogtopia isn’t just a business—it’s a passion born from personal experience. Growing up, our home was always filled with the unconditional love of golden retrievers. When my career brought me to the busy D.C. area, I thought I wouldn’t be able to have a dog of my own due to my long hours. But then I discovered a place that changed everything: a trusted doggy daycare. My dog could get the exercise, socialization, and playtime she needed during the day. It was the reason I could be a dog owner again.
That life-changing experience made me a loyal client of Dogtopia. I knew firsthand the value of their service and the peace of mind they offered. So when I had the opportunity to become a franchisee, it was an easy decision. In 2007, I was proud to open my first location in Alexandria, dedicated to bringing that same exceptional care and joy to the dogs and pet parents in our community.
My commitment to dogs extends far beyond the four walls of our Dogtopia. For years, I’ve been deeply involved with the local community, serving on the board of directors for the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria and volunteering with other non-profits and charities. My work has shown me firsthand the importance of animal health and happiness. I’m dedicated to making our Dogtopia location a true partner to the community, not just a business. We are here to support local animal welfare efforts and provide a safe, happy place for every dog.
