Meet the Team

Jolene & Matt, Owners

Matt and Jolene Urbancic are the owners of Dogtopia of North Austin. Matt and Jolene came to Austin from Ohio in the late 90’s. As their two children prepared to head to middle school, they decided it was time to combine their many years of business experience with their love for dogs. They wanted to provide a place where dog lovers could feel safe bringing their best friends for a day of exercise, fun and care or a place where they knew they would be leaving their dog in safe hands when they went on vacation. Dogtopia, with its award-winning reputation for customer service and cleanliness, was the perfect fit for their vision. Jolene and Matt have a  golden retriever, Boomer, along with a rescued Chihuahua, Roxy.  They are proud of their award-winning staff and the great customer experience the team is known for in Austin.

When they are not working and playing at Dogtopia, Matt and Boomer are a certified complex-environment pet therapy team through the Dog Alliance.  As a team, they regularly visit local hospitals, schools, businesses and colleges, bringing stress relief and the chance to get some “golden love” from Boomer!

Emmaline Hall, General Manager

Emmaline Hall is the General Manager of Dogtopia North Austin. She has been with the award-winning Dogtopia team since February of 2018. She is a recent graduate of Colorado State University with a bachelor’s degree in cultural anthropology. Her partner in crime, Charlotte the rescue pup, can be seen playing and snuggling with her best furry friends forever in the Toybox! Her years at Dogtopia in various positions have fostered her love for pups and their care, and she could not imagine doing anything else with her time. Her goal is to facilitate the most exciting day ever every day for all of the amazing Dogtopia dogs!

Kalli Fletcher, Assistant General Manager / Pet Parent Relationship Manager

Kalli is our Assistant General Manager / Pet Parent Relationship Manager and has been a part of the amazing Dogtopia team since 2020! She is currently finishing up her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a Human Resources concentration from the University of Wyoming. With two fur babies (Teddy Bear & Emma) of her own, she understands how important it is for pet parents to feel excited and confident about their pup’s daycare experience and is dedicated to ensuring every visit is the best day ever! There is nothing she loves more than helping provide a fun and safe environment for pups to romp and play!

Madeline Manago, Lead Canine Coach

Madeline Manago is the Lead Canine coach of Dogtopia North Austin. She has been with the award winning Dogtopia since January of 2021. Her goal is to train and teach our canine coaches about the proper techniques we use at Dogtopia, training tips with the pups, and how to run a safe and fun playroom.  Maddie is originally from Chicago, IL and moved to Austin in August of 2020.  Working with dogs is a passion for her and hopes to become a professional dog trainer.   If you ever have any questions about the pups, playrooms, or looking for some new innovative training ideas, ask for Maddie and she’ll help you out!

Genevieve Hall, Lead Float

Genevieve Hall is our Lead Float at Dogtopia North Austin and has been a part of our incredible Dogtopia team since August of 2020! Originally joining as a part-time student, she found a passion for the job and graduated a year and a half early to work full time. She loves the high energy and fast pace of the pups! Her own four-legged companion can’t accompany her (given he is a lizard) so she thrives off making connections with every furry friend that walks through the door. Prioritizing comfort and safety, she strives to find where each doggie fits best. Whether your pup comes in every day or once a year, Genna wants them to feel at home with our Dogtopia North Austin family!

Macy Fetchel, Special Advisor

Macy is a special advisor to Dogtopia North Austin. She has been a member of the award-winning Dogtopia team for 4 years and is simultaneously in the process of obtaining a degree from Texas A&M University in Agribusiness. Macy is passionate about creating a safe and fun environment for dogs where they can not only gain socialization experience and knowledge, but have fun while doing so! She is often joined by her rescue pup, Callie, who is a frequent attendee of doggie daycare and can be seen romping in the Toybox! Macy’s four years in various positions at Dogtopia have led her to a knowledge-driven understanding of stimulating enrichment, dog well-being, and owner satisfaction. She is thrilled to assist Matt and Jolene in their mission to provide a fun, safe, and award-winning experience to the four-legged Austin community!
