Being away from your beloved dog can be a stressful experience, whether you’re only gone for one night or for an extended period of time. Alleviate the stress by knowing your pup is spending their days playing and making friends rather than being home alone or cooped up in a kennel. Dogtopia of Bloomfield offers boarding stays that are filled with fun, socialization and exercise. You’ll come home to a happy, tired out dog.
What Makes Dogtopia Different?
Dogtopia of Bloomfield offers personal attention for your dog when you’re unable to care for them yourself. Consider it a vacation for your pup! We ensure your dog enjoys a safe, happy and comfortable stay.
Dogs are pack animals, which is why we prioritize open play. Our facility was specially designed to ensure the safety of our canine guests, and our dogs are organized via playrooms according to their size, personality, and owner preferences.
We realize how important your dog’s safety is. That is why each of our playrooms is fully supervised by our highly trained team. Our team receives training on how to read even the most subtle dog body language, and is certified in Pet First Aid and CPR through The Humane Society of America’s Disaster Animal Response Team. You can rest easy knowing you’re leaving your furbaby in very capable hands!
Our boarding dogs follow a regular routine, which helps prevent anxiety issues. After waking up at 6 am and having a potty break, all the boarders get breakfast, and then it’s back to rest for an hour to prevent bloat or other gastric upset. Then at 7am they come out to play with their daycare friends until noon. Naptime is noon to 2pm, and then it’s back out again for more playtime until 7pm. Dinner is served at 7pm, and the dogs rest for an hour, just like in the morning. Then everybody gets to come back out to have a final potty break and stretch their legs with their friends before being tucked into bed. At night they sleep in home-style crates in the same room they were playing in earlier so they feel safe and comfortable.
If you’re bringing your dog in for boarding, feel free to bring in blankets, toys and any other familiar items from home. Also, bringing them in for regular visits prior to boarding can help reduce stress and make their stay more fun!
We will not charge extra for feeding, administering any medication your dog may be on, or even a little bit of TLC if they’re nervous about being away from you.
You can alleviate any separation anxiety you may be feeling by checking in on your pup while you’re away with our high-definition playroom webcams, which are accessible throughout the day via desktop or mobile.
