NEW PET PARENT?
If this is your pup’s first time at Dogtopia, there are a few things pet parents should prepare prior to rewarding your dog with the most exciting day ever!
Meet the Team
Shayla, General Manager
Shayla has been with Dogtopia since November of 2018! You’ll see her smiling face around our store and at the front desk. She’s drawn to the dogs and their personalities! She keeps the store running smoothly like her playrooms. Her favourite playroom is Romper because they keep her on her toes and it’s where you can find some of the hardest working breeds that work just hard as she does. Her favourite activity to play with the dogs is bubbles and taking photos of all the fun!
Kaeleigh, Rover/Front Desk Coordinator
Kaeleigh has been with Dogtopia since March of 2022! Her favourite part of the job is enjoying the company of the dogs and people that she gets to see every day. She started as a personal dog trainer before applying her knowledge and practice to Dogtopia. You can now find her at the front desk when she isn’t exploring the outdoors with her two Pugs. Toybox is her favourite playroom because it is the only place you’ll see pugs. Her favourite activity with the dogs is breaking small dog stereotypes with brain games and blowing bubbles.
Kaitlin, Canine Coach/Rover
Kaitlin has been with Dogtopia since September of 2022! You can often find her in the Romper playroom because she loves the adolescent and energetic dogs. You will also see her at drop off and pick up where she has grown to love the welcoming environment with the customer and their furry friends. They are like an extension of her family and she loves seeing the pups grow. She also loves playing with the hose and playing follow the leader.
Tish, Canine Coach
Tish has been with Dogtopia since November of 2022! She loves working with dogs because of how you get to know them! She loves seeming them come regularly so she can watch them grow. It is always such a good feeling when a dog that started off being wary, now rush over for attention! You can find her in both Gym and Toybox because she loves the best of both worlds. Her favourite activity is going out in the yard when it is nice enough. She loves seeing the dogs’ excitement to soak up the sun.
Jacquelynn, Front Desk Coordinator/Rover
Jacquelynn has been with Dogtopia since September of 2021! You’ll see her smiling face at the front desk. She loves all the positive energy and love she gets from the dogs. Gym would be her favourite playroom because of all the cuddles with gentle giants, and getting to win their trust with attention.
Danika, Canine Coach
Danika has been with Dogtopia since October of 2022! She can often be found in Toybox because she loves getting to introduce new puppies and play with the small dogs. Her favourite activity with the dogs is follow the leader and taking photos.
Unity, Calgary Operations Manager
Unity has been a part of our Dogtopia team since September of 2016! She started as a Canine Coach! She was most commonly found in the Gym playroom but loved all the dogs and takes pride in remembering all their names. You will see Unity mentoring and being hands on at both our Douglas Glen and Downtown locations in Calgary. She is dedicated to her work to help dogs and people live their best lives. You can often spot her dog Alfred playing in daycare with his many puppy pals.
Lori, Groomer
Lori has been a part of our Dogtopia team since November 2022! She loves sending puppies home smelling fresh and looking their best! She has been working with dogs her entire life, starting as a junior handler in CKC dog competitions and now continuing her passion with grooming dogs. She grooms pet cuts, breed cuts and even does a bit of creative grooming. She especially loves grooming Poodles, Chinese Cresteds and drop coat breeds.
