PREMIER DOG DAYCARE, BOARDING, AND MORE IN FORT MYERS, FL
Boredom is not in our vocabulary at Dogtopia of Fort Myers! When your furry family member steps their paw into our facility on their first day of daycare or boarding, they will join our Dogtopia Squad. This gives them full access to our bacon- and peanut butter- flavored bubble parties, our tasty treat days, our Arts & Crafts activities, and our themed photoshoots that result in the most adorable pics you’ll want to show off on social media.
Our facility offers 6,664 square feet of play space and ample room for dogs to roam, play, and socialize. We have four spacious playrooms specifically designed to separate dogs based on their size and temperament. This ensures that each dog can interact with others compatible with their energy level and play style, promoting a harmonious and stress-free environment. Our playrooms include:
- Toy Box: this is where our smaller pups thrive and won’t be towered over by bigger dogs.
- Romper Room: this is where you’ll find the medium-sized dogs with more playtime energy who enjoy fun vibes.
- Gym: this playroom is ideal for larger breeds, as it offers the space for them to flourish.
- Lounge: the more calm and mature dogs enjoy this playroom with like-minded pals.
Our playrooms have been built with dogs’ needs in mind. Our compressed rubber flooring promotes comfort and supports the long-term health of doggie paw pads, hips, and joints, while our floor-to-ceiling walls limit visual distractions. Plus, we’ve equipped the walls with soundproofing so pups can focus on their furry friends and the activities they’re engaging in without hearing doggie sounds coming from neighboring playrooms. To maintain safety, we have double-barrier doors so entries and exits are controlled and supervised.
While our doggie guests enjoy our fun-filled playrooms during the day, our overnight or extended stay boarding guests enjoy a home away from home where they experience comfort morning to night. Whether you’re going on a work trip or family vacation or just want to work on your dog’s separation anxiety, our boarding service offers safe, supervised care. We also offer a full-service spa with a range of treatments performed by our skilled and caring staff, who are highly trained to handle dogs of all sizes and breeds.

INCORPORATING SAFETY AND CLEANLINESS AT DOGTOPIA OF Fort Myers
Maintaining a safe environment is a main priority at our facility; we don’t take the trust pet parents grant us lightly. One of the predominant ways we ensure safety is with the very people your pup engages with throughout their day—our Canine Coaches. Each playroom has multiple Coaches who interact with dogs, carefully observe interactions (while rewarding positive behavior) and encourage socialization, exercise, and fun to ensure each pup has a smile on their face and enjoys everything Dogtopia has to offer.
Our Coaches are skilled at interacting with dogs of any size, breed, or play style and treat your pup like their own. They undergo in-depth training in dog behavior and body language and complete a custom curriculum designed by Dogtopia’s Registered Canine Behaviorist, split into four comprehensive parts; this ensures that they can easily spot any shifts in mood and respond appropriately. Additionally, our curriculum has been approved for continuing education credits by the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants and the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, giving pet parents peace of mind that their furry friend is in safe, qualified hands.
To give you greater insight into your dog’s day at Dogtopia of Fort Myers, our Coaches provide periodic report cards that detail behavior, the new friends your pup made during the day, and overall observations. The more your dog attends daycare, the more our team can learn about your dog and share insights with you.
Cleanliness is also a top priority at Dogtopia of Fort Myers to ensure all our dogs are in a space that supports their health and well-being. Our team follows the expert advice from Dogtopia’s Environmental Biologist and Veterinary Scientist, which includes performing a deep clean of our playrooms twice daily while our pups are either not in our playrooms or are taking a break from playing. We use pet-safe cleaning products on all surfaces so dogs are never exposed to any harsh chemicals, and we are quick to clean up any accidental mishaps during play to maintain a fresh environment using a pet-safe spot cleaner. We’ve also equipped our playrooms with advanced HVAC systems that filter the air and promote proper airflow. This also helps us climate control our playrooms, so no matter the weather outside, playtime is never interrupted by rain or the sweltering Florida heat.
Dogtopia of Fort Myers has earned certification status as a Heroes for Healthy PetsTM facility. The Heroes for Healthy PetsTM Certification Program in Infectious Disease Management provides training for preventative care, including strategic vaccination, and cleaning and disinfection protocols to help maintain disease-free facilities and keep pets healthy. The program is co-sponsored by the International Boarding and Pet Services Association, National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America, Pet Sitters International, VETgirl, and Barkleigh Productions.
DOGGIE PLAYROOM WEBCAMS FOR PET PARENTS
We have HD webcams, called iDog cameras, that live stream inside our playrooms. These cameras integrate with the Dogtopia website and app, so pet parents only need an internet connection to watch their dogs during the day. You will see your pup engaging in various activities as they play with their friends and enjoy their time. We turn off the livestreams from noon to 2:00 p.m., which is lunch and naptime, to ensure our pups get some “me” time and our team sanitizes the playrooms. Don’t worry; the stream will be back on afterward, and you can virtually join in on the fun!
OUR MEET & GREET INITIAL EVALUATION
At Dogtopia of Fort Myers, we prioritize the well-being of all dogs in our care by conducting a Meet & Greet assessment, which we use to assess whether our off-leash, open-play environment is a suitable fit for your furry friend. This evaluation, performed by our expert team, also provides pet parents with the assurance that their pup is in a space with others our team deemed well-suited for this type of environment—something you can’t guarantee when you bring your pup to a busy dog park filled with varying play styles and temperaments.
During the Meet & Greet, we will conduct a thorough nose-to-tail assessment, review your dog’s health history, and observe any responses to touch. Our Canine Coaches must be able to interact with your furry friend safely, especially during the fun activities and exercises they’ll be organizing. Therefore, we’ll take note of any sensitivities your dog may have to ensure they are content in our care. Additionally, we’ll use this opportunity to assess your dog’s comfort in our home-style crates, which they’ll use for naps during the day and possible overnight stays.
Determining how your dog responds to others is a key component to becoming a doggie guest at Dogtopia of Fort Myers. Our team will set up a small, controlled play area with some of our daycare dogs that match your pup’s size and play style. We’ll carefully monitor their behavior to determine if they are comfortable interacting with others, much like in a typical daycare session.
We welcome all breeds, but we require each pup to be at least 12 weeks old and fully vaccinated with up-to-date records, including Rabies, DHPP/DHLPP, and Bordetella vaccinations. Please note that these vaccines must be administered at least 48 hours (preferably seven days) before attending our facility to ensure a proper immune response. While we recommend your pup receive the canine influenza vaccine, our team will inform you whether this is required.
Additional requirements are also necessary for your dog to meet before attending Dogtopia of Fort Myers:
- Spayed/neutered if seven months and older
- In good health and free of any communicable condition within 30 days
- Free of any conditions that could spread to other pups, such as fleas and ticks
- Non-aggressive or food/toy-protective
Please ensure your pup is on a leash with a collar or in a harness before entering our front lobby. Also, come with your questions for our team! We want this to be an opportunity for you to become comfortable in our space and get peace of mind that your dog is in safe, qualified hands.
Once our team gives the OK following your pup’s assessment, you can begin the daycare process as soon as you’d like.
