Meet the Team
David Martinez, General Manager
David’s passion for animals began in NYC, working at a pet store during high school and college breaks. After 23 years as a personal trainer, he made a fresh start in Fort Lauderdale and found his way back to pet care—combining his animal knowledge with leadership experience. He’s been with Dogtopia since August 2021 and loves helping dogs thrive while supporting his team’s growth.
At home, David has Kal-El, a 2.5-year-old Beaglier named after Superman. With a red coat and a white chest marking shaped like the Superman symbol, their bond was meant to be. Kal-El knows tricks, shares howls, and brings endless joy—David calls him the best friend anyone could ask for.
