Our highly-trained team are dog owners themselves and will treat your pup like they’re their own fur baby, providing the play and attention they deserve. We are conveniently located above Herndon Animal Medical Center, off of Elden Street. Our facilities are close to the Fairfax County Parkway, Herndon Parkway and the Dulles Toll Road.
What Sets Our Dog Boarding Apart
When you board your dog at Dogtopia of Herndon, they will have a paw-some time! Dogs boarded at our facility enjoy all day play with regular potty breaks. We do not have kennel runs, instead boarding dogs enjoy the full run of our open playrooms just like daycare dogs. Our guests enjoy five-star accommodations in comfortable home-style crates suited to their size during nap time and overnight stays. Staying in a new environment can be stressful for a dog, which is why they are boarded in the same room they play in.
Dogs are social animals, which is why we ask that you drop your dog off before 5 pm if they are going to spend the night. This gives them the chance to play with the other dogs and get used to our facility before bedtime.
Your dog will enjoy approximately 10 hours of play throughout the day. When your pup turns in for the evening, they will be tired but happy. And best of all, they will have made new FBFFs (furry best friends forever)!
Dogtopia of Herndon’s dog care professionals will strive to make sure that your dog has a fun time during their stay. We encourage our customers to bring any bedding or toy their dog may have. If your dog gets home sick or suffers from separation anxiety, having something familiar will alleviate this. Maintaining their regular diet is also important, so we recommend bringing your pup’s regular food.
If you forget your dog’s regular food, not to worry; we offer Blue Buffalo’s nutritious dog food.
Webcam Access
As a dog parent, you’ll want to check in on your pup from time to time. That’s why we offer webcam access so you can watch your dog at any time during the day using a desktop or mobile device. Watch them have fun and laugh at their antics with their newfound friends!
Supervised Safety
The team at Dogtopia of Herndon is dedicated to providing our four-legged guests with a safe and fun environment. We ask that you bring your dog to our location first so our team can meet your dog and get to know them before we decide if our open play environment is the right fit for them.
We also require that any dogs that stay with us have up to date vaccinations and be free of fleas, ticks and any contagious diseases. Please remember to bring any medication your dog may have as well.

You know how great it feels to enjoy a day being pampered at a spa. Why not give your dog the same luxurious treatment? There’s so much more to our spa services than just baths; your dog can receive a five-star treatment that includes teeth brushing, nail trims, ear cleaning and brush-outs.

- Morning Play Time: 7:00 a.m. – Noon
- Nap Time: 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Afternoon Playtime: 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
- Dinner: 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Evening Playtime: 8:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
- Potty Break and Bedtime: 9:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Dog Boarding Prices
We offer dog boarding at a price designed to fit any budget. There is a discount for multiple dog families. Space for overnight boarding is limited, so we recommend booking in advance.
