Meet the Team

Matt McCain, Owner

Matt is the owner of Dogtopia of Memorial. Born in New York City, Matt came to Texas as quickly as he could (age 6)! Growing up in the Memorial area of Houston, he returned to the community over a decade ago with his wife, young son, and now elderly and blind Labrador, Belle. (Prior to her blindness, Belle proudly served as a therapy dog at a local hospital.)

After a 20+ year career in banking, Matt decided to pursue a lifelong dream of starting a small business with the hope of making a positive impact on the local community. Given his love for dogs and the shared principles of providing a safe and clean environment for dogs to socialize, exercise, and learn, Dogtopia was a natural fit. In addition, the Dogtopia Foundation, with its purpose beyond profit in support of service dogs for veterans, childhood literacy programs, and employment opportunities for adults on the autism spectrum, serves as the guiding framework for how Dogtopia of Memorial approaches its mission in the market. In the process of helping to create better canine citizens, we strive to promote dogs’ natural ability to positively change our world!

Tiffany King, General Manager

Tiffany is the General Manager of Dogtopia Memorial. Born and raised in Houston, she holds the city close to her heart. She comes to us with 22 years of management experience and a huge heart for animals.

She’s had furry friends her whole life, and has loved every single wagging tail she’s met. Tiffany is a strong believer in being the voice for the voiceless and donates her time and passion to animal rescue and animal welfare.

Tiffany currently has 6 dogs who she loves as her babies!

Some of her favorite non-animal related things are music, sushi, sports, and comedy!
Tiffany truly believes in Dogtopia’s mission to provide a safe and exquisite dog daycare experience for every wet nose that enters the doors. The Dogtopia Foundation benefiting Youth Literacy, Providing Service Animals to Veterans, and Employing Autistic Adults touched her heart deeply and she cannot wait to be an advocate for the foundation daily in her role as the General Manager.

Tiffany wants all Dogtopia of Memorial Pet Parents to get ready for their fur baby to have a caring and loving family at their home away from home, who truly cares about them, and their family!

Macey Staes, Pet Parent Relationship Manager

Macey is the Pet Parent Relationship Manager at Dogtopia of Memorial. A Houston girl at heart, she comes to Dogtopia with 3 fresh degrees from the University of Houston in Education, English, and Public Relations. While in college, she worked for multiple vet clinics and animal rescues. Pursing these three majors and experiences to make sure she was well versed in all aspects possible to work in animal welfare, improving the lives of pets being her absolute passion. Dogtopia was the absolute perfect fit to make these dreams come true with their foundation, values, and highest regard for safety.

Macey is a fur mom to 2 giant pups, Zoe and Zuko and 2 kitty sisters Dolly and Disco. All which were rescued from Houston’s animal shelters.

In her free time she loves jamming out to Taylor Swift, sipping on iced coffee, picking up foster pets at the shelter, and ALL THINGS Disney World!

Macey cannot wait to love on every furry friend she meets at Dogtopia, and make long lasting, valued connections with the pet parents as well.
