Too Hot? I think I have a solution you might be interested in!

Did you know that dogs can only sweat through their paws, or that panting is the only other way to cool larger surface areas?

Some may blow up mini pools in their backyard to cool down their four-legged best friend but is that enough? Let’s face it, dogs still need their exercise and that means getting them outside for most people. On a day like today (33 degrees Celsius or 91 degrees Fahrenheit with humidity) is actually a dangerous temperature for dogs. Unlike us humans, they don’t exactly have the ability to cool themselves off naturally.

At Dogtopia of Lionhead, we have everything you need to combat these problems.

Our doggie daycare facility allows us the opportunity to socialize and exercise your fur baby for 8-10 hours giving them the needed activity they may not otherwise get on such hot days.

The best part however is not just the amount of time they get to play, it’s the spacious, climate-controlled rooms they get to play in. Think about it this way, when you’re stuck in the office, or at home, wouldn’t you like a space where you can interact with your friends and stay comfortable doing it? Pretty nice right? Those are my thoughts exactly. Our climate-controlled rooms are kept at a nice 65 – 70 degrees no matter what the weather is outside.

Here at Dogtopia, we have what your dog needs to stay cool, comfortable, and well-exercised even on those unbearably hot days (and when those winter months come – the cold ones too).
