Orlando – Longwood Dog Boarding

Home sweet home away from home where I can have my own blanket and doggie personal space.

COMING SOON

Whether you need a dog-free home for the night, are planning a family vacation, or are attending a quick work trip, boarding at Dogtopia of Orlando - Longwood can be your pup’s home away from home. They will enjoy all of the daycare benefits during the day and get a restful sleep at night.

With both home-style crates and private suite options (ideal for siblings) that pet parents can choose from, your pup will have a comfortable experience as they drift off to dreamland after The Most Exciting Day Ever, full of play, learning, socializing, and exercising.

Being in a new space can take some adjusting for pups, which is why we require all boarding pups to stay a minimum of three days at daycare prior to their overnight stay to ensure they feel safe and comfortable in this environment. All boarding dogs must all be enrolled in one of our weekly wellness plans, as this provides safer and happier stays for each pup.

DOG BOARDING EXPERIENCE IN LONGWOOD, FLORIDA

When boarding dogs arrive at our facility, they will first enjoy a full day of daycare. They will make new BFFFs (Best Furry Friends Forever) with like-minded pups, practice their problem-solving skills with stimulating brain games and engage in exercises that boost their agility and keep them active.

Along with our daycare dogs, boarding pups can take part in our themed photoshoots, run around our playrooms during our bacon or peanut butter-flavored bubble parties, and enjoy the fun Arts & Crafts activities we have planned, which often end up with your pup bringing an artistic masterpiece home.

At noon, dogs take a well-deserved nap in our home-style crates within the same playrooms they were playing in to ensure maximum comfort in their environment. These crates will also be the ones your pup will sleep in overnight (unless opted for our private suites), which adds to the familiarity. This is also a chance for our team to prepare lunch for our pups and administer any medications, as specified by pet parents.

A couple of hours later, at 2:00 p.m., our dogs are ready for more tail-wagging fun with their furry friends. With their energy restored from naptime, they are back to playing, learning, exercising, and socializing with one another for the rest of the day.

When our daycare dogs are picked up, boarding dogs can get some extra play in before our team prepares them dinner and gets them ready for bedtime. We recommend pet parents bring their dog’s bedding, which is a comforting reminder of home, and the food they are used to. After 8-10 hours of play during the day, pups are happily played out and are quick to sleep, ready for the next day of fun.

Our facility offers a staycation for boarding dogs, as they can partake in exciting activities throughout the day and become even greater canine citizens. And in true staycation fashion, many pet parents pre-schedule a trip to our doggie spa. With relaxing treatments like a bath time massage to nail trims and ear cleaning, your pup will look and feel fresh and clean.

SAFE DOG BOARDING IN ORLANDO – LONGWOOD

We want dogs at our facility to feel comfortable and be their best doggie selves in our off-leash, open-play environment. This is why we separate our furry guests by their size, personality, and temperament into our three spacious, state-of-the-art playrooms. The Toy Box playroom is for small breeds (under 25 lbs) and puppies that will eventually graduate to a new playroom if they grow larger, our Romper Room is much like junior high, for large breeds that are full of playtime energy and may still be learning how to “dog,” and our Gym playroom is best for laid-back large breeds that enjoy chilling with their BFFFs.

No matter which playroom your pup joins, we ensure that it is climate controlled to an ideal playtime temperature of 65-70 degrees. This is thanks to our HVAC system, which helps keep the air circulating and fresh. Unlike the gravel or cement commonly used in other dog facilities, we use compressed rubberized flooring that is gentle on pups’ paw pads, hips, and joints. Our playrooms are separated by full walls that help protect from and contain doggie bacteria or viruses that may be airborne. Rather than opting for fencing, we have found our pups remain more focused on one another than their furry neighbors.

For our playrooms to be safe, they also need to be clean. We take multiple precautions to ensure your pup is playing in a fresh environment. We sanitize surfaces numerous times a day, including when our pups are taking their naps, and we use only dog-safe cleaning supplies. For those “in the moment” accidents, our team swiftly cleans using natural spot cleaners.

Our team at Dogtopia of Orlando - Longwood includes our expert Canine Coaches who supervise dogs in each playroom while facilitating the fun by engaging with pups and encouraging them to learn, exercise and socialize. With training approved by the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants and the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, as well as extensive knowledge of dog body language, our Coaches know how to manage large groups of dogs of varying sizes and breeds. As a result, pet parents can rest assured that their furry family members are in the safe hands of those passionate about working with dogs.

Since our Canine Coaches are alongside our pups throughout the day, they can jot down their observations in our periodic report cards given to pet parents. You will find details on your pup’s behavior and who they made friends with.

Before any dog can take part in our services, they must pass our Meet & Greet assessment performed by our expert evaluator. This helps us ensure each dog at Dogtopia of Orlando - Longwood is comfortable in our off-leash environment around other pups, which is our preliminary step to safety.

We will perform a nose-to-tail wellness check, report any observations, will look into your pup’s healthy history, and confirm they are up-to-date on their vaccinations, such as Bordetella, Rabies, and DHLPP/DHPP. All dogs must be 12 weeks and older, while those seven months old must be spayed/neutered. During this evaluation, we determine how your dog responds to engagement and touch from our staff and how they get along with other dogs in a controlled mini-play area. Since dogs will also spend time in our home-style crates (for naptime and overnight), we check their comfort level in crates as well.

WEBCAM ACCESS FOR PET PARENTS

We understand that being away from your dog for an extended period is not always easy. This is why we have live-stream webcams in our playrooms that only our pet parents can access. Catch all the fun your pup is having as they play with their furry friends no matter where you are on our website and free mobile app.
