Staff are pleasant and engaged. The consistent protocols are very good for my reactive and anxious dog – he knows what to expect. I would bring him more often if we hadn’t moved farther away, but I count on Dogtopia for his overnight boarding. The parking situation is annoying but it has improved with the 5-minute parking spaces on the street (though they are often abused!). I’m very grateful for Dogtopia.

I like how everyone is cheerful and supportive of the dogs. I brought 2 for their first time and was so satisfied that I am doing 3 day’s daycare and probably an overnight at the end of the week.

On the online video monitor it made me smile to see an employee playing with the dogs and throwing small handfuls of snow, and blowing bubbles.

I like that they look at the needs of each and every dog.

The people who work there are so nice to my dog! My pup is a little shy and sometimes nervous, but they are very understanding and go out of there way to help her feel better with treats and going at her pace for nail trims, etc.

Stay consistent. We have had a good experience with a few hiccups. I have recommended Dogtopia to others.

What friendly, dog-loving, well trained staff and what a clean environment. Our golden retriever pup loved it and was absolutely exhausted when she got home. That’s what we like to see!

I know things are still in transition/flux at this location but the current employees seem to really care and want to help improve things overall.

The staffing lately has been very chaotic. Often there aren’t enough staff to greet dogs for drop off or pickup. There appears to be a lot of training in progress and a steady stream of new faces.

The dogs are being put in “time out” in kennels on the yard, from the 30 mins I was watching during my dogs’ Meet’n’Greets. When I used to train dogs, putting a dog who may be behaving in an undesirable way in a kennel with other dogs freely running around can create some behavioral issues. Also, crates shouldn’t be used as punishment for behavioral issues, as this creates a resistance to going into the kennel and a negative association with kennels / crates.

Onika (I’m sure I spelled this wrong) was absolutely amazing. One of my dogs has some stranger danger issues and was not loving his trial of daycare with the new people and she sat with him for 5-10 minutes to get him comfortable and gain his trust. She went above and beyond for my little guy, I appreciate her for this. She’s amazing!

Our dogs Whiskey and T-Rex love all the staff and play-friends at the Dogtopia South Waterfront location. Super responsive via text or call and flexible when we need to reschedule dropoff or pickup dates. Always recommend to friends and family.
