At our brand-new dog care center, we strive to give them the most comforting experience possible in a home-away-from-home space that dogs can enjoy and pet parents can trust. Unlike at some of our competitors, boarding dogs at Dogtopia of Seattle - Roosevelt Square are not kenneled for large portions of the day. Instead, our boarding dogs get to experience all the fun of our daycare services during the day before settling in for a restful overnight stay.

Our brand new, 5,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility includes:

Three indoor playrooms: Dogs are grouped by size, temperament, and play style for safe and enjoyable interactions with their friend group.
Clean air and climate control: Advanced HVAC systems create a comfortable environment year-round, so even during our cool, wet winters or hot summers, playtime is always on the schedule. Plus, these systems filter in fresh, clean air throughout our facility.
Special flooring: We help protect paw pads and promote joint health by using comfy compressed rubber floors.
Double-barrier doors: Have peace of mind knowing that we’ve added a secure space between our playrooms and the main hall.
Floor-to-ceiling walls: Rather than room dividers, we have actual rooms that keep like-minded pups together and focused on their friend group.

Cleanliness is a top priority at Dogtopia of Seattle - Roosevelt Square. We follow rigorous cleaning protocols designed by Dogtopia’s very own experts, sanitizing all playroom surfaces twice daily with dog-safe cleaning products and using bio-enzymatic cleaners for quick spot treatments during play.

THE DAY-TO-NIGHT DOGTOPIA EXPERIENCE IN SEATTLE, WA

Boarding is an extension of our daycare service. That means your pup’s overnight stay starts with an action-packed day with their furry friend group. From interactive play sessions with our coaches to brain-boosting games that strengthen problem-solving skills and memory, your pup will stay engaged, active, and happy.

Activities our boarding pups may get to participate in during the day include:

Running, climbing, and exploring with ramps, slides, and tunnels in our playrooms
Bubble parties, agility games, and learning-based challenges to stimulate their minds and bodies
Occasional craft days that channel dogs’ inner artists
Themed photoshoots with props and backgrounds that result in frame-worthy pics

Dogtopia dogs take an estimated 60,000 steps daily in daycare—far greater than the 8,000 steps dogs at home can average. This level of activity can promote their physical health, reduce feelings of stress and anxiety, and allow them to feel tired and content by the end of the day.

At noon, our team preps our dogs’ lunch. This midday break allows pups to rest and recharge in their home-style crate located in the same playroom they’ve been in to help maintain familiarity and consistency in their day. We’ll also perform a deep clean around each playroom while pups snooze to keep our play areas pristine.

After hours of play at daycare, where they interact and play with other dogs, they are ready to call it a day, and our overnight gusts transition to a calm environment for dinner and relaxation. At bedtime, they settle alongside their furry friends in their home-style crate or private suite (a great option for larger dogs or siblings who want to stick together). We make sure to provide them with a safe, cozy, and calm sleep environment so you can rest assured your furry friend receives a restful night.

Watch your dog make friends, play, exercise, and learn from your phone or computer (available during business hours, except for 12-2 p.m. during lunch/naptime and overnight). SAFETY

We prioritize the safety of all dogs at our facility. Before boarding, we require:

Daycare familiarization: At least three days of daycare are needed to help your pup adjust to our environment so they don’t feel unprepared or don’t know what to expect on their first overnight stay.
Meet & Greet evaluation: A 20-30-minute session where our team assesses their health, behavior, and comfort level in our space before they become part of the Dogtopia family. We perform a nose-to-tail health check, health history overview, crate test for comfortability, and observe how they respond to other dogs. By the end of our evaluation, we’ll either give the green light or recommend some next steps to try again in the future.

All breeds are welcome at Dogtopia. However, they must meet the following requirements:

Be at least 12 weeks old
Spayed or neutered if over seven months
Up to date on doggie vaccinations (e.g., Bordetella, Rabies, and DHLPP/DHPP)
Free of communicable conditions and in good overall health

You’ll find a Whole Foods Market, LA Fitness, Roosevelt Animal Hospital, and The UPS Store nearby, and we have Roosevelt Square and Whole Foods parking available with free parking for drop-offs and pick-ups.
