BRAND NEW DOG CARE FACILITY IN SEATTLE
Our 5,000-square-foot facility in Roosevelt Square features an open-play environment with multiple spacious indoor playrooms (Gym, Romper, and Toybox) tailored to dogs of different sizes and temperaments. That means you won’t have to worry about your pup playing with others who don’t see eye-to-eye or align with their playtime vibe. Our team works to foster connections and enhance dogs’ social skills to boost their confidence around others and in new situations.
Rather than cement or hard flooring, we added rubberized flooring to our playrooms, which provides a soft surface that’s easy on dogs’ paws and joints. We want our Dogtopia pack to enjoy playing and increasing their activity level, and having a comfortable surface is key. We also prioritized fresh, sanitized air by installing an advanced HVAC system, which filters the air every 11 minutes to maintain a clean, comfortable environment.
Unlike other dog daycare facilities with a shared playing space, our floor-to-ceiling walls keep each playroom secure and distraction-free. You can rest assured knowing your dog is safe and surrounded by others they’ll get along with and a team that supervises and encourages positive play and interactions. We’ve also installed double barrier doors at all playroom entrances for added security.
Another benefit to our indoor doggy playrooms is the live HD webcams that are equipped in each room. Whether you’re at work or out running errands, you can check in on your furry friend and watch them enjoy their time with us from your phone or laptop.
DOG DAYCARE, BOARDING, AND SPA SERVICES IN SEATTLE, WASHINGTON
Whether you’re at work or school during the day and want to ensure your dog is well cared for, or you’re looking to enhance your pup’s activity levels for better health and happiness, we’re here to help. Our daycare options include both full-day and half-day stays, as well as wellness plans designed for regular visits. Establishing a consistent routine helps dogs feel more at ease as they learn what to expect. This consistency makes the benefits of our wellness plans lead to long-term success for your furry friend.
Our boarding service is a great way to ensure your dog’s safety and happiness when you’re away. An overnight stay at our facility is like a relaxing, all-inclusive staycation for dogs. During the day, they spend hours enjoying our open playrooms with the other boarding and daycare dogs, socializing and exercising to their heart’s content. By the time evening comes around, they’re tired out and ready to settle down, feeling happy, relaxed, and ready to get a good night’s sleep.
Because boarding is an extension of our daycare services, we ask that pet parents bring their pup to daycare at least three times before their first overnight stay to help them get used to our space.
Want to freshen up your dog’s look or create a hygiene routine? Our spa services include baths, ear cleanings, nail trims, teeth brushing and more to keep your pup looking and feeling great. Combine a spa treatment with a daycare visit or overnight stay for the ultimate doggie pampering!
NOW OFFERING GROOMING SERVICES
We are excited to add grooming to our roaster of dog wellness services! Our expert team is here to style your dog depending on their breed or to align with what you have in mind. Regular grooming can be an excellent way to keep up their hygiene and help maintain a healthy coat and skin. Learn about our groomer, Jessica, here.
WHAT MAKES US STAND OUT
Rather than just a space to have your dog stay throughout the day, we’ve created an itinerary of activities that keeps pups active—physically and mentally—to enhance their health, happiness, and longevity. Exercise, playing, learning, and socializing are four areas we target, all backed by the expert guidance that has made Dogtopia leaders in this industry.
Every detail has been thought through to make sure we are the safest and cleanest dog daycare and boarding facility. We even offer PitPat activity monitors (similar to Fitbits for humans) to track your dog’s activity level while they are in our facility!
STAYING ACTIVE
Dogs need daily exercise to remain healthy and fit, but busy schedules don’t always allow pet parents to devote time to this. That’s why we’ve created an enriching environment packed with play structures like slides and ramps for pups to use during play, and we also have opportunities to engage in fun, agility-focused activities like mini obstacle courses. Your dog will have plenty of opportunities to move, stretch, and strengthen their muscles while getting necessary breaks to recharge.
PLAYTIME
Playtime at Dogtopia of Seattle - Roosevelt Square isn’t just about burning energy. It’s also a chance for your pup to interact with other dogs and advance their social skills while forming friendships that allow them to tap into their natural pack instinct. From open-play and group games to themed photoshoots, special treat days, and playroom bubble parties, it’s always a tail-wagging good time at our facility.
LEARNING THROUGH PLAY
Keeping dogs mentally stimulated not only keeps boredom at bay but it also sharpens their minds and reduces feelings of stress and anxiety. Our team incorporates brain games, puzzles, and basic training techniques into the day, helping dogs build confidence and improve their behavior in a fun, engaging way.
CLEANING PROTOCOLS
What also helps us stand out among our competitors is our attention to maintaining a clean environment. We deep clean our playrooms and all surfaces twice daily using products free of harsh chemicals that are safe to use around dogs so they won’t be exposed to smells or irritants in their play space. We also have a bio-enzymatic spot cleaner that we use during play for potty mishaps, which is also pet-friendly.
CANINE COACHES
Our highly trained Canine Coaches oversee all activities, helping make sure dogs receive the health benefits of remaining active, all while in a safe and controlled setting. Coaches must pass an advanced four-part training program approved for continuing education by the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. The skills obtained through this training allow our team to pick up on dog body language and other behaviors, allowing us to stay on top of any changes in play. As a result, Coaches encourage positive reinforcement and safe interactions.
With repeat visits, we get to know your pup’s personality, which allows us to provide occasional report cards outlining their time at daycare, including how they behaved and the furry friends they made while they were here.
PREPARING FOR YOUR FIRST VISIT
Before your dog joins us, we’ll schedule a Meet & Greet to help make sure they’ll thrive in our off-leash, open-play environment. During this 20-30-minute assessment, we’ll review their health history, perform a nose-to-tail assessment to determine if your pup has any touch sensitivities that we should be aware of, and introduce them to a small group of like-minded dogs to observe their behavior. You can also tour our facility and ask our team any questions.
If your pup is a good fit, they can start enjoying daycare right away! If we find more time is needed, we’ll provide some of the areas your pup can build on to prepare for a future visit. For more information, check out our new pet parent info page.
Please note that we welcome all breeds of dogs. However, there are some requirements your pup must meet before they can join the Dogtopia of Seattle - Roosevelt Square pack. They must be:
- At least 12 weeks old
- Spayed or neutered if over seven months old
- Free from any communicable conditions, including fleas or ticks
- Up to date on their vaccination record, including common doggie vaccines like Bordetella, Rabies, and DHLPP/DHPP (also known as distemper/parvo)
- Non-aggressive and comfortable in a group setting
We can’t wait to meet you and your furry family member!
