Our brand new, 5,000-square-foot modern facility offers indoor playrooms designed with dogs’ comfort and safety in mind. The Toybox is for smaller pups, the Gym is for larger breeds, and the Romper playroom is for the medium-sized dogs that fall in between. No matter the playroom, it’s always a tail-wagging good time!

We’ve custom-built each playroom with a variety of features that keep pups comfortable, including:

• Flooring made from compressed rubber, which helps reduce strain on joints and remains comfy on paw pads
• An advanced HVAC system that circulates fresh, preconditioned air every 11 minutes to maintain cleanliness and comfort
• Double-barrier doors at each playroom entrance to create secure entries and exits
• Floor-to-ceiling walls rather than lightweight dividers like some other facilities keep pups separated and distraction-free

CLEANLINESS YOU CAN TRUST

We prioritize cleanliness with rigorous sanitation practices designed by Dogtopia’s experts. All our playroom surfaces are cleaned twice daily using dog-safe, chemical-free products. For those in-the-moment potty accidents, we use a bio-enzymatic spot cleaner so we can maintain a hygienic environment throughout the day.

DOG DAYCARE ACTIVITIES IN SEATTLE, WASHINGTON

Physical activity and mental stimulation are key to a dog’s well-being. That’s why we offer:

• Agility-focused play: From participating in obstacle courses to playing on secure playroom structures (such as ramps, slides, etc.), we encourage dogs to jump, run, and strengthen their muscles. Averaging around 60k steps (compared to around 8k steps from pups at home), dogs can boost their cardiovascular health, maintain weight, and reduce feelings of boredom, stress, and anxiety throughout eight to ten hours of open play in our off-leash indoor environment.
• Brain games: Activities like problem-solving treat puzzles, searching through snuffle mats, name recall, and follow-the-leader keep pups mentally sharp. Our team leads these activities so dogs are monitored and can safely reap the benefits.
• Group socialization: By engaging in supervised play, whether it’s running with a friend around the playroom, chasing flavored bubbles during our playroom bubble parties, or simply lounging around with their pals, daycare dogs are building their confidence and communication skills.

A TYPICAL DAY AT DOG DAYCARE

Your dog’s day begins with play, where they burn off all that morning energy that they’ve built up overnight. We love seeing our morning crowd get straight to play as soon as they step their paws into their playroom!

At noon, it’s time to recharge. Our team will serve lunch to pups in their home-style crates located in their playroom before allowing time for dogs to nap.

By 2 p.m., our daycare goers are back to playing, learning, socializing, and exercising until it’s time for pick-up. Don’t be surprised if you notice your furry family member is exhausted and happily played out on the ride home—we call it the Dogtopia Daze, a sure sign of a great day at daycare.

The team members who interact with dogs in each playroom are called Canine Coaches. Equipped with the necessary skills to interact with dogs of all sizes and breeds, our Coaches are pros at “reading the room” and can help pups break the ice with others if they need a bit of encouragement.

To become a Dogtopia Coach, our team passed a four-part training program approved for continuing education by the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. This training equips our team with essential skills they can apply in our playrooms, including reading doggie body language and recognizing subtle cues.

At Dogtopia of Seattle - Roosevelt Square, we provide access to our live webcams that give pet parents peace of mind while their dogs enjoy our daycare and boarding experience. These webcams are accessible through Dogtopia’s user-friendly mobile app or website and are available to view during business hours (except between 12-2 p.m., as we turn down the lights so our team can clean the playrooms and pups can nap).

Our webcams allow pet parents to check in and see their dogs having fun in our safe, supervised, and spacious environment. Gone are the days you need to look up cute dog videos online—our playroom webcams will be the cutest thing you’ll see all day!

OUR SAFETY GUIDELINES

We want to maintain a safe, fun environment so dogs and their pet parents can feel comfortable in our space. Here are some of the protocols Dogtopia has established that we follow at Dogtopia of Seattle - Roosevelt Square:

• Passing our Meet & Greet: This 20-30-minute evaluation helps our team get to know your pup and verify that our off-leash, open-play space is the right fit for your furry friend. During this time, we’ll check your dog’s health history, perform a quick nose-to-tail assessment to check for touch sensitivities our team should know about, determine your pup’s comfort level in our home-style crate that they’ll chill in during the day, and observe their behavior around other like-minded dogs. At the end of the evaluation, we’ll share our assessment and provide next steps.
• Age-specific requirements: Dogs must be at least 12 weeks old and spayed/neutered if at least seven months old.
• Health requirements: All dogs must be free of any illnesses and communicable conditions, including fleas or ticks, within the past 30 days. Dogs must also have an updated vaccine record (Bordetella, Rabies, DHLPP/DHPP, etc.). To give your dog enough time to build an immune response from vaccinations, please schedule veterinary appointments seven to ten days before visiting Dogtopia.

Employees from Seattle Children’s Hospital can enjoy early daycare check-in (6 a.m.) and late checkout (8 p.m.) without any additional fees, along with one complimentary deluxe bath per month with enrollment.
