South Ann Arbor Dog Boarding

Home sweet home away from home where I can have my own blanket and doggie personal space.

We like to call boarding at Dogtopia a staycation for your dog. Those times when you can’t have your pup with you, whether it be on a vacation, a work trip, or during home renovations, Dogtopia of South Ann Arbor can be your pup’s home away from home, where they can enjoy all of the benefits from our dog daycare, with an added overnight element. After hours of play with furry friends in our off-leash, open-play environment, your dog will rest soundly in a place they’ve come to know and trust.

Trusted DOG BOARDING IN YPSILANTI, MICHIGAN

To make the boarding experience as enjoyable as possible, our team at Dogtopia of South Ann Arbor puts your dog’s comfort and safety first. We offer boarding services to dogs who are already familiar with our open play environment since daycare is included with any boarding reservation. That means during naptime (12:00 pm – 2:00 pm), our dogs can make their way to their home-style crates for some “me” time, while staff dispenses individual food for our lunch-eating dogs and/or medication, if applicable. That is also the time we disinfect the playroom so that it is ready for more afternoon play.

After a full day of playing, learning, socialization, and exercise, our boarding dogs have the option to spend their overnight stay in one of our comfortable, home-style crates in the same familiar room they played in all day, or pet parents can upgrade to one our suites. The suites provide private space for your dog(s) and are great for siblings who want to stay together. With either boarding option, please feel free to bring in your dog’s own bedding or food to make it feel like this is their home away from home. We have found that bringing those reminders makes the overnight experience a lot more relaxing.

To make sure your dog is as comfortable as possible with our location, we require bringing them by beforehand to take part in a day of daycare (three days is ideal). This allows them to familiarize themselves with our space prior to their boarding stay. It also provides a great trial run of what their time will look like when boarding with us, and will remind your pup that it’s not permanent and that you will always come back to pick them up.

OUR SAFETY STANDARDS

One of the very first things we do when we meet with pet parents is schedule a Meet & Greet evaluation, which we use to determine if our open-play daycare and boarding environment is a good fit for your dog. We look at several factors, including your dog’s health history, a nose-to-tail assessment, and an evaluation of how they interact with other dogs and staff in a controlled setting. We also ensure that they are up to date on vaccinations and that they are spayed or neutered, if older than seven months.

We also make sure our playrooms are thoroughly clean and sanitized multiple times a day using a pet-friendly, biologically safe cleaner. Our HVAC system in each of our playrooms also helps circulate the air so that it’s not only climate-controlled, but it’s fresh and clean.

Our certified Canine Coaches help make sure all of our dogs are happy four-legged campers, thanks to their constant supervision during open play. They actively monitor for all health or behavioral issues and compassionately address them with ease. Our coaches are trained at showing our dogs attention, care, and affection while maintaining pack leader status in the room. We also separate the dogs into our three different playrooms (the City, the Park, and the Beach) by size, temperament, and playstyle, ensuring our pups are with like-minded furry friends.

webcam access

As a pet parent, spending time away from your dog can be hard. With our webcams, which are equipped in every indoor playroom and outdoor play yard, you can watch your pup having a blast during their playtime. You can easily access this private stream through our website or free mobile app.

Add a SPA SERVICE

In true staycation fashion, why not book a spa treatment for your dog? That way by the time you pick them up, they will be looking and smelling like a million bones. We offer a range of options to pamper your pup, such as a shampoo/condition, a bath time massage, and a brush out, as well as hygiene services such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing.
