Dogtopia is South Ann Arbor’s newest, family-run destination for dog daycare, boarding, and spa services. Designed with your pup’s needs in mind, our brand new indoor and outdoor facility is equipped to ensure your four-legged family member will have the most exciting day ever with their new BFFFs (Best Furry Friends Forever).
It is our mission to provide Michigan pet parents and their furry companions safe and quality care, regardless of whether their visits span a couple of hours or a couple of days. To help make this possible, Dogtopia of South Ann Arbor requires all dogs who enter our facility be fully vaccinated and pass our Meet & Greet evaluation, which is our way of making sure an off-leash, open-play environment is a good fit for your pup, while also confirming they will only play with other dogs who’ve been vetted by our experts.
Our certified Canine Coaches, who are experts at maintaining control of a large group of open-play dogs, are also here to supervise all the playing pups in our rooms and are well-trained in monitoring for all health or behavioral issues that may arise in order to address them proactively in a timely and compassionate manner.

Dogs thrive in an open yet structured environment where they can socialize, get plenty of exercise, and have fun while learning valuable behavioral skills. At Dogtopia of South Ann Arbor, we are committed to creating a safe space where your pup can feel total freedom while they learn and grow. After all, our mantra is “We SEE our dogs,” which means we socialize, exercise, and educate the pups within our care.
Our brand-new, 5904 sq ft. indoor facility offers 65% playroom sq footage, so each pup has plenty of room to run and play in a climate-controlled environment, rain or shine. We also offer 1000 sq ft. of outdoor play space, so on weather-cooperative days, our pups can soak up some sunlight. Our daycare dogs will enjoy up to 10 hours of play a day, and to ensure maximum comfort, we separate them based on their size, temperament, and playstyle into our three spacious playrooms (the City, the Park, and the Beach). That way, they can hang out with like-minded friends under the direct supervision of our certified Canine Coaches.
We provide pet parents with half-day or full-day daycare options, as well as overnight boarding packages that provide your pup with a mini staycation while you’re away. If your dog needs a spa day, we also offer spa services as a part of our daycare and boarding packages. When you pick up your perfectly happy and played-out pup at the end of the day, they’ll look and smell like a million bones.

Brand new, STATE-OF-THE-ART FACILITY IN MICHIGAN
Safety is a top priority at Dogtopia of south Ann Arbor, which is why we have taken every precaution possible when designing our facility. From the ground your pup walks on to the air they breathe, we’ve made sure your furry family member will be as comfortable as possible.
Each of our playrooms uses climate-controlling HVAC systems to prevent overheating, and keep the air fresh and clean. We also deep clean and sanitize each playroom multiple times a day with a pet-friendly, biologically safe cleaner, as well as use a spot cleaner frequently. The compressed rubber flooring we use in each playroom also helps to keep things sanitary, and its cushioned surface aids in the long-term joint and paw health of your pup.
To ensure the safety of our furry friends, our certified Canine Coaches supervise each playroom and are trained to identify different behaviors and signals from our pups to make sure none are stressed or uncomfortable. Within their rigorous training, our Coaches learn how to recognize even the most subtle of dog body language, and can effectively handle dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments. Along with the team members who are in the room, there is additional staff monitoring our playroom cameras.
We also offer our pet parents the chance to check in on their pup with our webcams, which you can privately access through our website or the free Dogtopia app on your smartphone. When you can’t be with them, our webcams of the indoor playrooms and outdoor yard act as a great alternative. You can expect to see many smiling faces (and not just from our staff).

Brandon, Adam, and Morgan Bissell, owners of several Dogtopia locations, proudly welcome pet parents from Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, Burns Park, King, Mitchell, and other nearby neighborhoods to their new location in South Ann Arbor.
Dogtopia of South Ann Arbor is located in the southeast corner of the Carpenter Road Meijer store (close to Montibellar Park), which you can find at Carpenter & Ellsworth Rd, near the connector for Highway 23 and Interstate 94. There is a large parking lot on the southside of Meijer that our pet parents can use. Our convenient location allows for quick and easy drop off and pick up.
We are located within Meijer, and you can find a viewing window into one of our playrooms from inside the store within the pet retail section.
