Meet the Team
Kaitlyn Azemar, General Manager
Our General Manager, Kaitlyn Azemar, has been leading our team since 2021 and brings more than seven years of professional experience working with dogs. A CPDT-KA Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Kaitlyn shares her training expertise with the dogs in our daycare while helping our team better understand canine behavior and communication.
Kaitlyn was selected to serve on Dogtopia’s National Canine Behavior Expert Council, where her expertise is called upon to help develop individualized behavior plans for dogs at Dogtopia locations across the country. She also travels to new Dogtopia locations to lead Boot Camp training, helping prepare canine coaches and teams for successful store openings.
Beyond her professional expertise, Kaitlyn has a genuine passion for the dogs in our care and for those still waiting to find their forever homes. Her work with foster dogs has included training and behavior support designed to help them become more confident, successful, and ultimately more adoptable. She has a German Short-haired Pointer mix named Oakley.
Gabe Hebert, Parent Relations Manager
Gabe lived in Houma until he moved to Lafayette at 18 to go to ULL. He has an associate’s degree in applied science and a deep passion for dogs. He has been a dog owner his entire life and has worked in the animal industry for seven years before being a Veterinary Courier. He loves meeting new people and new dogs and always seeks to do the best work he can for the dogs, the pet parents, and his fellow employees as well. Gabe has a work ethics like no other and does his best to lead by example and with grace
Nikki Dunaway, Groomer
Nikki is a lifelong Lafayette resident with four years of professional dog grooming experience. She does beautiful work and has a wonderful way with the dogs in her care, helping make their grooming experience as comfortable and positive as possible. Her creativity and attention to detail allow her to tailor each groom to the individual dog and the pet parent’s preferences. For those looking for something extra special, Nikki also offers creative color services when arranged in advance. Nikki takes great pride in helping every dog leave Dogtopia looking and feeling their best!
