ABOUT THIS POSITION
Dogtopia, the industry leader in dog daycare, boarding, and spa services has an immediate opening for an energetic, organized, business-minded individual to lead our team as General Manager. This is a role for someone with a Management and Operations background who understands hard work, how to deliver and train others to provide top customer service and ensure a great environment for the dogs in our care. This person should love dogs – and, upon successful completion of training, you can even bring YOUR dog to work with you! What a bonus!
As the General Manager you are responsible to work with all customers and team members to ensure our customer experience sets the highest standards and satisfaction of our customers!

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be willing to do what is necessary to meet the needs of the pet parent and create an unparalleled experience for them
- Communicates any concerns or needs to business owner proactively and partners after attempting to resolve issues
- Control and account for cash transactions and delivery to bank for deposit
- Creates staffing schedule and monitors daily schedules
- Delivers written performance reviews and give employees positive acknowledgement when due!
- Develops team in up-selling and using dog Evaluations to grow revenue
- Dismisses dogs proactively with ongoing behavior issues and monitors action plans to retain those with minor issues

- Help coach the Assistant Manager on our Dogtopia-isms The rules by which we, as Dogtopians live by
- Keeps the team members engaged in their duties
- Leads by example by coaching all on contributing to a positive team-oriented culture more_vert
- Maintain and update cleaning schedule, along with holding themselves and team accountable to the Dogtopia’s safety and cleaning standards
- Maintains a neat and organized Front Desk team and area at all times. This includes holding team to professional clean dress
- Maintains controllable expenses within budgetary constraints including forecasting, tracking and ordering supplies, minimizing payroll, and actively look for ways to maximize efficiency
- Maintains optimum staffing and development with all team members
- Onboard all employees and insure each employee has the correct amount of training
- Remain cross trained in your team’s roles more_vert
- Responsible for helping develop and then execute on annual store goals and KPI’s
- Sets the example for the team on the 3 Ss (smile, story and satisfaction) and hold accountable to internal and external customer service standards
- Strive for high customer review ratings!

BENEFITS
Dogtopia of Town Center Pay for Performance Program – As the General Manager you will have direct impact and influence of the store’s profitability – ‘Net Income’. Your compensation and benefits will be tied to the overall performance of your store. A percentage of your salary will be allocated to the PFP program which pays out twice a calendar year, once in July and once in February of the following fiscal year. – PFP looks at year over year net income improvement. A percent increase of on net income year over year will increase your total payout, while a decrease will negatively impact your total payout. There is no cap on payout for increased performance.
