Sandy is a mixed breed who was rescued from a shelter to receive training through the K9’s For Warriors program. Some of Sandy’s largest challenges during training included becoming comfortable in large crowds, maintaining focus in distracting environments, and impulse control around squeaky toys! Despite the many challenges, she passed her final skills test with flying colors! Sandy graduated in June of 2023 and was paired with her warrior, Desarae, an Army Veteran from New York. They formed an immediate bond with each other and are both so thankful for this process and all of our amazing pet parents who made this lifechanging opportunity a possibility.
