We are looking for outgoing, happy individuals who are comfortable speaking to existing and potential customers. The Front Desk role is running all “front of house” operations and requires you to maintain high energy, premium customer service.

Full and Part time positions available. M-F 1:30-7:30pm and Weekend Shifts Available.
Pay starts at $12 per hour with increases based on experience and after 30 days employment, longevity and additional training. Growth opportunities available!

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Greet everyone that walks in and out of Dogtopia.
  • Answer all phone, email and walk- in inquires and questions from current and prospective pet parents.
  • Check dogs in and out throughout the day for daycare and boarding. Schedules pedicures, baths and grooming add-ons when applicable.
  • Utilize strong communication and problem-solving skills to effectively resolve customer concerns, ensuring a pleasant experience. Knows and understands when to escalate issues to management.
  • Provide answers customers’ questions and gives information regarding the business procedures and policies in an exact and customer-friendly way.
  • Proactively follow up on leads and schedules meet and greets to meet key sales metrics on a daily basis. Logs all prospective leads and leaves excellent notes for all team members in POS and proprietary software system for upcoming meet and greets.
  • Sell services and boarding/ daycare passes to pet parents.
  • Accept and manage payments via POS system.
  • Anticipate customer’s needs, responds promptly and acknowledges all pet parents.
  • Efficiently check in and handle routine member service tasks using Dogtopia systems such as, but not limited to, creating online accounts, resetting passwords, updating credit cards, collecting past due balances, and managing boarding and daycare reservations.
  • Contact veterinarians’ offices to inquire about vaccination records for current and prospective pets.
  • Address basic questions about packages, additional services and billing issues.
  • Provide a clean and organized lobby/front desk area at all times.
  • Provide a high level of customer service and attentiveness to all pet and pet parent needs.
  • Understand and live by our Dogtopia-isms.
  • Additional duties as necessary.

  • Not afraid to jump in whenever and wherever is needed. Committed to the success of the team and not just the individual role.

Education and Experience:

  • 1-2 years in customer service-related role
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Functional computer skills required – MS Office basic programs (word, excel), Internet, Basic computer program software use

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times
  • Must be able to check dogs in and out and manage leashed dogs during the check in process.

Other Requirements:
· Must love dogs.
