Wilmington Reviews
2101-A Concord Pike, Wilmington, Delaware 19803
I like that my dog LOVES to come here and I love it that he comes home happy and tired. He loves the doggie friends he’s made and the coach in the room with him. I see how happy he is to see them.
CORP PEOPLE: What I need is for you to return to having discounted rates for buying 15 days at a time AND give me at least 2 months to use them. I would send my dog more often if you did that again. You boosted your rates 10% and eliminated the bulk buy. While everything is going up, remember that people need to make choices for how their money is spent. You’d get more when you give us the opportunity to buy in bulk. Right now you’re just giving us the impression that you raised rates and cut the discount bulk rate so you could make more money. Will you? When I can’t send him as often as I’d like? And I can’t commit to a year of 1x per week. That’s $1,976. That’s a lot of money. Think about it and do your comparison to see how much you’ve lost with your pricing.
Our dog Ollie smells like pee when we come to pick him up after spending a day at your facility. We bathe him at home after daycare. Maybe inspect cleaning protocols.
Our dog is very happy there
Great service
Carson loves going to Dogtopia. I know he is safe and happy there
The staff was friendly, my dogs were excited to see them. I like planned activities and treats can be added on to my dogs stay. The price is worth it when I’m away. I just wish they had program for parents who board infrequently.
Friendly, caring staff who really relate to the dogs.
love the social activities, parties, events they provide for the pups! love getting pictures of my pups! always friendly! and the love they show not only to my pups but the pups I see going and coming.
The hours are great for any working dog parent, it’s great they are open 7 days a week and the hours don’t shorten over the weekend…love that.
1) better training for staff charging at checkout. i’ve been over charged and double charged multiple times which doesn’t make me have the most confidence that my charges are accurate each time. staff was quick to reach out when i owed something, yet i never received an email or call saying “hey! we charged your account more than we should’ve —that’s our mistake do you want a credit or refund?”
2) more staffing, and hiring or training of staff to be more enthusiastic or awake. apparently there hasn’t been a nail tech available any time i ask.
3) one time i dropped my dog off and a different dog managed to get past the staff, push the front door open and run around the parking lot scaring the workers in the nearby loading docks…i was more than happy to help and we ended up getting the very anxious dog into my car until other dogtopia staff was able to come with a leash. this was an accident, sure, but it was a bit alarming that the dog got out in the first place.
4) sunday october 22nd i arrived and saw the unfortunate glass doors and windows boarded up with cardboard. i was alarmed to arrive and find no one in the lobby, and to be met with staff who didn’t explain anything until i asked. i was disappointed to not receive even any kind of “incident report” email as a heads up to inform me this happened while my dog was boarding. any kind of communication is better than none.
5) better iphone app where the camera works consistently during open business hours
if i may make a suggestion, summer camp staff training offers a lot of tips and customer service that could apply to Dogtopia staff.
Pup is happy walking in and happy walking out!!
