We are Legendary Dogs, the largest franchisee of Dogtopia. Our home office team is in Atlanta, GA. We currently operate 4 locations in Portland, OR and 2 in San Diego, CA. We are rapidly expanding into 9 other states, including Alabama! We will operate 75 Dogtopias in the next several years. We are proud of the high-quality daycare services we provide and are excited about the growth and potential of Legendary Dogs and Dogtopia.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Legendary Dogs is searching for a key role within our company –an Operations Manager. The role of the Operations Manager will include training and oversight of all back of house functions, facility management, supply inventory, ensuring a safe and clean environment, along with providing exceptional customer service. The Operations Manager will ensure the correct processes and practices are followed throughout the daycare to uphold the safety and cleanliness for the dogs and team members in our care. A successful person in this role can expect to grow and develop right alongside our team and organization.

  • Exemplify the Legendary Dogs culture by staying true to the Dogtopia-isms, communicating the Brand Manifesto and delivering the Noble Cause every day
  • Leads daily back of house operations consisting of daycare, boarding, and spa services
  • Ensure maximum operational safety, efficiency, and cleanliness throughout the entire facility
  • Continuously motivate, train, and develop operations employees with a major focus on excellent customer service, exemplary cleaning and safety standards, strong dog control and care
  • Oversee weekly work schedules for back of house operations employees
  • Conducts monthly one-on-one coaching sessions with all back of house team members making sure all staff are living up to our Dogtopia-isms
  • Oversees Pack Leaders (shift leads) to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations throughout the entire facility
  • Communicate, track, and assist the General Manager with significant pet parent, employee, and canine behavioral and canine health issues and/or concerns
  • Actively assist in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training operations team members
  • Prepare and conduct daily shift huddles and monthly meetings with operations team members

  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Proven operations experience
  • Experience with leading a team
  • Willingness to handle conflict and have tough conversations with employees and pet parents
  • Maintain open and honest communication with the General Manager, Regional Manager, and VP of Operations
  • Flexible work schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift and carry 20 pounds
  • Ability to spend up to 100% of work time standing

Pay Range

$13-$16

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 – $16.00 per hour
