As the face of Dogtopia, your primary responsibility is to provide excellent customer service to our pet parents. We are looking for responsible, dependable people as this position is an integral part of our team

Duties include:

  • Manage pet parent contact information and effectively communicate with them as well as veterinarians
  • Answers incoming calls, transfers calls, takes calls and communicates messages in a timely manner
  • Accurately record health and behavioral notes in daily activity log and communicate those with both shifts
  • Maintains confidentiality in Dogtopia practices and all aspects of the business
  • Work with our pet tracking software and become proficient after training including checking dogs in and out, additional services, as well as updating pet profiles, vaccination records, etc.
  • Conduct opening and closing procedures including transaction totals and balancing the cash drawer
  • Greeting all customers promptly and in a welcoming way in person, by phone and email
  • Effectively communicates health and behavior concerns with customers in a professional manner
  • Utilizes training opportunities for the team such as dog issues, billing issues or customer complaints
  • Maintain the appearance of the lobby and front desk. Both manage and assist in holding everyone accountable to Dogtopia’s safety and cleaning standards
  • Always finding new ways to improve the Meet and Greet experience
  • Strive for high customer review ratings

As a customer service representative you will work with all customers, furry friends and team members to ensure that Dogtopia sets the highest standards of satisfaction, safety and fun.

o Ability to close the deal – sell passes and memberships

o Completion of onboarding

Physical requirements

  • Candidates must be comfortable and able to handle dogs of up to 100+ pounds and move them through the facility in an expedient manner.
  • Fast paced environment with a combination of sitting at computer and checking dogs in and out through valet service.
  • Cleaning tasks will include low and high work. Cleaning also includes picking up after dogs, immediately, to ensure lobby stays clean and fresh.

Certified Canine Coaches: Dogtopia’s Canine Coaches must complete a rigorous training. The custom curriculum has been approved for continuing education credits by the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC) and the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT).

Proactive Management: Through the curriculum developed by Dogtopia’s Canine Behaviorist, our team is trained in dog body language and knows how to maintain a safe and comfortable playroom.

Extensive Evaluation Process: We perform a Meet & Greet with every dog that enters our facility. This is to ensure our dogs are playing with other healthy, vaccinated like-minded pups. It is through this process that we make sure all new dogs are a great addition to our open-play environment.

Dog-Safe Cleaning Products: Our cleaning protocol is in place to provide a clean, safe and odor-free environment for the dogs, our team and pet parents.
