Ashley, Shift Lead

I’ve been with Dogtopia since July 2017, and one of my favorite parts of the job is getting to know all of the dogs and their unique personalities. Building bonds with the dogs and our pet parents has made my time here incredibly rewarding.

In my spare time, I love reading and spending time with my fur babies, Ruby & Ace.

Michael, Shift Lead

I’ve been with Dogtopia since October 2017, and one of my favorite parts of the job is spending time getting to know each dog and building relationships with their families. I love hearing all of your life updates and being a part of your pups’ lives along the way.

Outside of work, I enjoy being outside and spending time playing with my girl, MJ.

Eric, Canine Coach - Level 3

I have been working at Dogtopia of Birmingham since 2021. I love taking care, of and playing with the dogs. Outside of work, I enjoy playing with my dog, Thelma.

Kira, Shift Lead

I’ve been a part of the Dogtopia of Birmingham pack since July of 2024, and it’s been paws-itively the best experience! Before finding my way here, I worked in the fitness and mortgage industries, but nothing compares to spending my days with happy pups. When I’m not at Dogtopia, I’m hanging out with my daughter and our pets (2 cats, 2 dogs, and 5 snails), soaking up all the cuddles and chaos!

Kar'Reon, Canine Coach - Level 3

I’ve been part of the Dogtopia team since March 2025, and I love getting to move throughout the playrooms and soak up all the love from the pups every day. Working with the dogs in such a fun and rewarding experience, and I enjoy making sure each one feels happy, safe, and cared for. In my spare time, I enjoy watching anime and scary movies.

Taylor, Canine Coach - Level 3

I’ve been a part of the Dogtopia of Birmingham team since October of 2025. I enjoy building connections with each dog and getting to know their unique personalities. I’m passionate about providing personalized care and creating a fun, safe environment for every pup. Prior to this, I worked as a veterinary assistant for a year, which strengthened my understanding of animal health and behavior. In my free time, I enjoy reading and going on scenic bike rides.

Autumn, Canine Coach - Level 1

I have been with Dogtopia of Birmingham since December of 2025. What first interested my in Dogtopia was the idea of being able to spend time with dogs and experience different breeds. I originally was working at a children’s daycare so I thought a doggy daycare would be perfect, because I love animals. In my free time I mostly just hang out with my dog, Hero. I take him on walks or puppy playdates. He’s my perfect companion and I couldn’t imagine life without him!

Mike, Canine Coach - Level 1

I started at Dogtopia of Birmingham in March of 2026. I was interest in Dogtopia to follow my passion for dogs. I’ve had a dog my whole life and love being around them. I was interest in learning more handling and caring for them. I worked with dogs in the past and really enjoyed my first experience. I knew I wanted to continue this path working with dogs in a different capacity. Dogtopia has been that next step for me and a wonderful place to be! In my free time I enjoy being with my Husky – Roman, spending a day at the beach, and longboarding trails

Shelby, Regional Manager

I joined the Dogtopia Family in April of 2023 after spending the majority of my career in the restaurant industry. After becoming a mom, I was ready for a change that aligned more closely with my passions and values. Dogtopia provided the perfect opportunity to combine my love for dogs with my dedication to leadership & team development. I’m passionate about growing strong teams, creating positive workplace culture, and of course, getting to pet all the perfect pups!

In my spare time, you’ll catch me spending time with my family, enjoying the outdoors, or with my nose buried in a good book.
