Cedar Mill Reviews

Chuck plays hard, and comes home happy and tired!
They all seem to like dogs and one person sat down on the floor with my dog to chat. The dog was not thirsty when we picked her up— unlike other experiences.
The staff know me and my dog and take excellent care of both of us!
Think it would be cool to meet more trainers and owners because pet parents can help each other out and its hard to know who has a pet that yours likes. Also it would be cool if pets could do like training on skills like leaping agility, smelling, efc.so it they are boarding, they also learn things.
Improve the wellness package selection process and billing. I have tried four times with three different employees to change my package and the change still has yet to activate. Make it an online process that I can do by myself, not relying on the employees to change it.
Also need to improve your employee experience. There has been so much turnover in employees, they are constantly learning the processes. Just as they learn, then they leave. That constant change creates a concerning experience when I drop off my dog and doesn’t enable the employees to know and love our dog properly.
Cedar Mill has a very strong and capable core team that totally reflects what Dogtopia says it offers at their stores. Milton, Jayden, Collin and a couple of the young women (I do not know their names) in the back are awesome. They welcome pet parents and also welcome our puppies at each visit.
I have talked with Jonathan about my issues with the new manager at this location….BJ. BJ is a total liability and if he stays you will lose capable staff who want to be there, and you will lose pet parents and pups.
BJ totally ignores pet parents when they arrive with their dog. He talks down to the staff and seems to want to just be in a position of power. These are things that I observed personally. In one instance, while he ignored me and my dog, he continued a conversation with the staff with such a tone and demeanor, that my dog started pulling us toward the door and just wanted to get out. He never acknowledged us, speak to us, or look our way. We actually went back to the store a couple hours later, after our appointment, to check on our dog. The next visit we had, he once again ignored us, and stood outside at the corner of the building talking to someone who did not work there while pet parents dropped off their dogs.
Jonathan has been very responsive to our concerns and open and encouraging. Bottom line, BJ is not a fit, does not reflect Dogtopias values and is a liability.
I m happy to discuss if you have questions.
Super convenient and I love the webcams so I can check in on my pup during the day.
I have a lot of peace of mind when I leave the doggies with Dogtopia.
I know that they will be in good hands and they enjoy very much going there.
Just please remind your team that they should be very careful in supervising the dogs constantly, because in my case, my beagles like to eat poop or get muddy into poop (which does not make me happy at all but that’s the way they are). So special attention should be paid to avoid “accidents”, specially preventing poop-eating.
Very convenient
Clean and cheery environment. Employees are cheery and friendly. My dog is happy to arrive and not so anxious to leave.
