From the moment you drop them off, they will get to engage in agility games, exercise (which we’ve disguised as fun activities), brain games, bubble parties, and other activities that allows them to socialize with other dogs – including their new BFFFs (Best Furry Friends Forever). We also host regular theme days and photoshoots!

Daycare keeps your pup sharp and exercised while relieving you of the guilt of leaving them home alone. FISHKILL’S NEWEST DOG DAYCARE

In our brand-new, family-run facility of just over 6,100 square feet, we offer three spacious, open playrooms: the Toybox for smaller dogs, the Romper Room for medium-sized dogs with a bit more energy, and the Gym for our large dogs. Come visit us and we’ll determine which room is the right fit for your pup!

It’s essential that our dogs feel comfortable during playtime, and that pet parents feel comfortable dropping them off. That’s why our off-leash, open-play is supervised by our certified Canine Coaches, who are trained in identifying different dog behaviors and signals, and know how to recognize if anyone is stressed or uncomfortable. Along with the team members in the room, there is additional staff monitoring the playroom cameras.

You will find rubber flooring in each of our playrooms, specially designed for our dogs’ health and comfort. When our pups play, their paws, hips, and joints need something soft yet comfortable beneath them to avoid any pain or discomfort. Our compressed rubber flooring is similar to the flooring used in many high-end daycares and offers excellent sanitation that grass could never match. Our flooring resists smells, and our certified Canine Coaches always clean messes immediately to make sure the play area is sanitized to minimize the spread of germs and parasites. We also deep-clean our playrooms multiple times a day using pet-safe products.

We know pet parents worry that indoor play may ruin all the time they’ve put into housebreaking their dog. The truth is, housebroken dogs will not regress at Dogtopia, thanks to our specialized flooring.  Our indoor facility is much like a park, with many of the same smells and textures. Each of our playrooms include a fire hydrant that helps to simulate an outside environment.  Even though they are inside, your pup will believe they’re outside, which means they can play comfortably regardless of the weather outside. Rain, snow or humidity makes no difference to us thanks to our climate-controlled indoor space. Our daycare dogs play comfortably all year round!

OUR SAFETY AND CLEANING PROTOCOLS

Dogtopia of Fishkill enforces vigorous cleaning protocols. Unlike other daycares in the area, we utilize a highly regarded cleaning program exclusively designed by a leader in the animal care industry. We use a bio-enzymatic spot cleaner when dogs are in open play, and our playrooms are sanitized from top to bottom twice a day with pet-safe products to ensure the absolute highest level of cleanliness in our facility.

In addition, our facility is equipped with high-tech HVAC systems in each of our playrooms that offer a dual purpose: not only do they remove pesky odors and circulate fresh air into the rooms, but they also keep the rooms climate-controlled to ensure our pups are as comfortable as possible. Our systems also help to keep the air fresh and clean to breathe for both the dogs and our employees alike!

POTTY PLATFORMS

We have installed a fire hydrant potty platform in each of our playrooms to simulate an outside environment. Having a designated territory that is separate from our play space allows us to concentrate more frequent cleanings of that area using pet-safe products to keep our facility as clean and germ-free as possible for your furry family member.

We’ll first introduce your pup to our staff at a Meet & Greet session, where our qualified team will conduct an evaluation to make sure your pup is a good fit for off-leash, open-play daycare. During that time, we will do a nose-to-tail assessment to identify sensitivities in touch that your dog may have. We will also evaluate your pup’s comfort level with staff and other dogs in a controlled environment. We will require that your dog has proof of vaccination, either supplied by you or one of our team members can call your veterinarian for you. All dogs older than seven months must be spayed or neutered, and we do not discriminate by breed.

We’re less than a mile from Main Street Fishkill, with nearby neighborhoods that include Brinckerhoff, Route 52 / Cedar Hill Rd, Matteawan Saint Hospital Rd / Red Schoolhouse Rd, Route 9 / W Merritt Blvd and Village Center.

We are also located just miles from Beacon, Wappingers Falls and Poughkeepsie. Employees of Vassar Hospital (Nuvance Health), CareMount Medical, the Westage Medical Mall or the Gap Distribution Center can easily drop their pups off on their way to work.

Our parking lot also features a Tesla Supercharger Station. Traveling by train? We are only a few miles from Beacon Station and New Hamburg Station.
