Dogtopia of The Woodlands West is a family-run business with owners John and Sandy Ledbetter, their daughter Chelsea, son-in-law Todd and Todd’s Dad (aka the “other grandpa”) all involved in operating the business. We have been giving back to our community for more than 35 years living out Dogtopia’s Noble Cause by enhancing the joy of dog parenthood and enabling dogs to positively change our world! and excited to bring this to the Atascocita, Kingwood, Humble, Huffman and surrounding communities.

Dogtopia is the leading destination for dog daycare, boarding and spa services. Our mission is to make sure your four-legged family members are kept safe and have a fun time when they are at our modern, open-play facility. You can expect the Most Exciting Day Ever as your pup plays with their BFFFs (Best Furry Friends Forever) and engage in brain games and agility-focused exercises that will keep their mind and body active. To encourage positive play, we group dogs together with their BFFF’s in our spacious playrooms, which not only allows them to be their best doggie selves, but also offers our pet parents reassurance that their pup is spending their day with other furry friends that share their play style and temperament.

Let us walk your dog for you! Dogs need so much more than a lonely walk or two each day, as they thrive on socialization with other pups, playing and making new BFFF’s. Like humans, dogs need exercise that helps them live LONG, HEALTHY, HAPPY LIVES! Dogtopia’s daycare facility provides that for them as they deserve more than just a walk or two a day.
Our modern facility offers 7,000 sq. ft. of indoor open playrooms and a 1,200 sq. ft outdoor play area. Indoors we have three climate-controlled playrooms that provide a consistent 68-degree play experience, so whether there’s a sweltering heatwave or raining outside, your dog can still get up to 10 hours of play! Upon arrival, your pup goes right into the playroom to meet their friends, not like others who crate your pup for hours until the playrooms open or in a crate waiting their turn for “limited group play”. Our pups are separated by size and play style – we require daycare reservations so each morning we know who is coming to play and can match your pup with their BFFF in the same playrooms! The Toybox playroom is for smaller breeds, allowing them to enjoy daycare activities in comfort and have fun with dogs their size. Our Romper Room is reserved for high-energy teens and toddlers — peek at the live web cams and you will see these dogs play from the moment they walk in until the moment they leave, making the space ideal for more active pups. Lastly, our Gym playroom is where you will find the bigger dogs that play and socialize but at bit slower pace and energy level.
Our high-energy, fun playrooms keep energy levels high throughout the day as pups engage in activities and socialize with their furry friends. By the time you come to pick them up, they will be a happy and tired – but will tell you they can’t wait for their next visit! Scheduling time in your dog’s day for exercise can ward off health issues like obesity and cardiovascular concerns and help them live a full life. While daycare can’t replace the love and attention pet parents give their dogs, it’s a great way to add supplemental exercise and provide routine and structure.
Dogs who arrive for daycare can choose from our half- or full-day pay-per-play options or select one of our monthly wellness plans that offer a more consistent daycare schedule at discounted rates with some added perks. Boarding dogs staying overnight all enjoy a full day of daycare, and pet parents can select from either enrolled or non-enrolled options; our enrolled dogs receive priority reservations for overnight stays as well as discounted rates. We also offer full spa services to ‘help your pup smell like a million bones’, especially important after spending the day playing with their BFFF’s!
Throughout the day, all of our dogs at Dogtopia of Atascocita engage with our expert team of Canine Coaches who provide supervision in each playroom. They encourage play and socialization and facilitate brain and agility games to keep your pup’s tail wagging. Highly trained in doggie body language, our coaches can detect any slight change in behavior or mood and respond in a swift, calm manner. This means that if any dog needs to take a break at any point in the day, our Canine Coaches are there to detect and provide it at the exact moment. Since they undergo multi-stage training before ever interacting with dogs, our pet parents can rest assured that their dog is in qualified hands.
We are also all dog lovers here, so we treat all of our pups like members of our own family! Because our Canine Coaches are spending hours with our daycare dogs, they get to know them extremely well, allowing them to provide pet parents with periodic report cards that outline the dog’s behavior during the day, who they made friends with, tips and tricks to replicate positive behavior taught in daycare at home, and other fun tidbits.
WEBCAM ACCESS FOR PET PARENTS
To catch all of the playtime cuteness, our pet parents can access our webcams that are equipped in each playroom. During playtime hours from open to close, you can access our private stream while you are at work, in a lecture, on vacation, or from your couch! The only time they go off is between 12 and 2 p.m., as this is when they are eating lunch and napping, and overnight since your dog won’t be doing anything other than catching a nap to recharge for the afternoon excitement! We also have 24×7 security cameras with motion and temperature sensors in each playroom and throughout the building to ensure we are always aware of what is happening.

EXPERT DOG SAFETY AND CLEANING PROTOCOLS
Your dog’s health and safety are a top priority at our facility. Since this is your pup’s home away from home, we keep our playrooms clean and tidy at all times so that their playtime and sleeping environments are always fresh. When we designed our space, we installed compressed rubberized flooring in each playroom, which is ideal for the long-term bone, hip, and paw health of dogs, especially when compared to the cement floors that other dog daycares use. We also separated our playrooms with full walls to keep our pups focused on each other, minimize distractions, and prevent and contain any doggie airborne viruses. All dogs must be up to date on all vaccinations (Rabies, DHPP and Bordetella) and all puppies must be finished with all DHPP boosters (normally 3) and dogs over 7 months old must be neutered/spayed.
We’ve taken every precaution for your pup’s health and safety in our facility. All of our spacious indoor playrooms use climate-controlled germicidal UVC light emitters in the HVAC systems to remove and destroy 99% of airborne viruses, bacteria, mold and fungal spores from our playrooms — all designed to ensure your pup has the healthiest and most enjoyable play experience! That’s living out our commitment to help dogs live long, healthy, happy lives!
As you will see on camera during the day, we deep clean and sanitize the playrooms multiple times a day with a biologically safe, pet-friendly cleaner. The compressed rubber flooring is specially designed to aid in the long-term joint a paw health of your furry child.
So you never feel separated from your dog, we have webcams in every playroom so you check in on them throughout the day (excluding naptime and overnight). All you need is a device that is connected to the Internet.
Your dog’s safety is our number one priority, which is why our Canine Coaches must complete a rigorous training, designed by a canine behaviorist, on dog body language and behavior. Our team knows how to recognize even the most subtle dog body language, and handle dogs of all sizes, breeds and temperaments.
Dogtopia of Atascocita has earned certification status as a Heroes for Healthy PetsTM facility. The Heroes for Healthy PetsTM Certification Program in Infectious Disease Management provides training for preventative care, including strategic vaccination, and cleaning and disinfection protocols to help maintain disease-free facilities and keep pets healthy.
The program is co-sponsored by the International Boarding and Pet Services Association, National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America, Pet Sitters International, VETgirl, and Barkleigh Productions.

We are conveniently located where FM 1960 and Atascocita Rd meet in the shopping center between BURN Boot Camp and Ollies just down from Verizon Wireless and Jersey Mike’s. When traveling on FM 1960 we are between WalMart and Best Buy with Wendy’s and Shipley Do-Nuts out front and across the street from HEB, Lowe’s, Target, Chili’s and Chick-Fil-A.
We are open weekdays 6:30am to 7pm with early drop off or late pick up by reservation, and on Saturdays from 8am to 4pm, and Sundays from noon to 4pm.
