Squeaky clean, smelling fresh & looking like a million bones.

If you need grooming or spa services for your dog, our fully equipped dog spa at Dogtopia of Houston-Galleria has everything you need. Our certified and trained groomers have over 30 years of combined experience and are experts at making your pup look and feel their very best.

We groom all breeds. If your pup is getting a bit shaggy, we offer scissor cutting as well as shaving. Our professional team are pros at keeping your dog calm and relaxed during any spa treatment.

We offer a full range of scented treatments, as well as hypoallergenic options for dogs with sensitive skin. We only use high-quality products that are certified safe for pets and have been specially designed for your pup’s skin and coat type.

Spa services encompass so much more than just haircuts and baths. Did you know that dogs should have their ears cleaned at least once a month, and even more if they are regular swimmers or frequently get their ears wet? If you are uncomfortable cleaning your pup’s ears, our caring professionals can get the job done. We also know exactly how far to cut a dog’s nails.

Is a Spa Visit Good for Dogs?

Regular grooming does more than keep your dog looking sharp. Bathing removes dirt, allergens, and loose hair that can irritate the skin. Nail trims prevent overgrown nails from affecting how your dog walks. Ear cleaning reduces the buildup that leads to infections, especially in Houston’s humidity. Most dogs also enjoy the attention. A bath time massage and a gentle brush out are relaxing for the dog and help our groomers spot skin changes, lumps, or sore spots early.

Dog Spa Services at Dogtopia of Houston-Galleria

Our spa offers a variety of services, including:

  • Spa bath: Pet-safe shampoo and conditioner, a bath time massage, and a fluff dry with brush out.
  • Haircuts: Breed-standard haircuts, scissor cutting, and shaving by certified groomers.
  • Nail trim: Trimmed to the right length by groomers who know how far to go.
  • Ear cleaning: Gentle cleaning recommended at least monthly, and more often for dogs that swim.
  • Teeth brushing: Supports dental health between veterinary cleanings.
  • De-shedding treatment: Deep removal of loose undercoat for double-coated breeds and heavy shedders.
  • Flea and tick treatment: Added to any spa visit using pet-safe professional products.

What Is Included in a Full Groom?

Every full groom at Dogtopia of Houston-Galleria includes a spa bath, blow out, nail trim, and ear cleaning. Haircuts are tailored to your dog’s breed and coat, and you can add teeth brushing, de-shedding, or flea and tick treatment to any appointment. Final pricing depends on your dog’s coat condition and length, which our groomer will confirm at drop-off.

How Often Should Your Dog Be Groomed?

It depends on the coat. Most dogs do well with a bath every four to eight weeks. Bathing more often than that can dry out the skin. Long-haired and curly-coated breeds generally need a haircut every six to eight weeks to prevent matting. Nails and ears should be checked monthly. Double-coated breeds benefit from a de-shedding treatment every four to eight weeks, especially during spring and fall coat changes. Our groomers can recommend a schedule based on your dog’s breed, coat, and lifestyle.

Add a Spa Service to Daycare or Boarding

You can add a spa service to your dog’s existing daycare visit, or book it separately. Combining services means your dog spends the day in open play, gets groomed on site, and comes home clean without a second trip or a wait in a salon lobby.

For boarding stays, many pet parents schedule a bath or full groom for the final day so their pup comes home fresh. Spa appointments are scheduled in advance, so let us know when you book your dog’s visit.

How Much Does Dog Grooming Cost?

Dog grooming prices depend on the dog’s breed, size, coat length, and coat condition, since a matted doodle takes far more time than a short-haired Lab. Spa pricing at Dogtopia of Houston-Galleria follows the same approach, with add-on services such as nail trims, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing priced individually. Visit our pricing page for current spa information, and our groomers will provide an exact quote once they see your dog’s coat.

What to Look for in a Dog Groomer

A good groomer asks about your dog’s health, handles them calmly, uses products made for dogs, and tells you if they notice something unusual. A good facility requires current vaccinations for every dog in the building. At Dogtopia of Houston-Galleria, our groomers are certified and trained, our products are pet-safe with hypoallergenic options, and every dog in our care meets the same health requirements. If your dog has a medical condition, is a senior, or has had a difficult grooming experience elsewhere, tell our team before the appointment so we can adjust the approach.
