NEW PET PARENT?
If this is your pup’s first time at Dogtopia, there are a few things pet parents should prepare prior to rewarding your dog with the most exciting day ever!
Meet the Team
Amber Woods, Owner
Amber’s favorite thing about Dogtopia is getting to know all the pup personalities. She has been an animal lover since birth, having worked with both domestic and wild animals. Before coming to Dogtopia in 2021, she was a Management Consultant and now oversees the daily operations of Dogtopia of Houston. Amber and her husband Alex have two human children Gracie (6) and Grady (4), and a Vizsla named Velcro. They live in East Downtown and enjoy family bike rides along the Memorial Bayou and exploring the world through travel.
Susan Dennis, General Manager
Susan has been with Dogtopia since October 2006. Dogs and pet parents relations are the most important things to her as is Dogtopia which provides the best of both worlds! She is a true dog lover and has been involved in dog rescue through foster care for many years. Dog rescue is her true passion. Susan and her husband currently have 2 dogs, Lucas and Josie, both rescues. Besides working at Dogtopia, she loves to go fishing, redecorate her house and explore what she hasn’t already seen in the USA.
Diana Hill, Assistant Manager & Pet Parent Relationship Manager
When we say Diana loves pups, we mean she LOVES pups! Her favorite part about Dogtopia is that she gets to spend the whole day with dogs before going home to the 5 (yes, five!) she has at home. In her spare time you can find her working in her garden or watching horror movies with her husband. She and her husband love Halloween so much they decided to get married on that day.
Shannon Howard, Operations Manager
As our Operations Manager, Shannon keeps us all in line. She has been at Dogtopia since 2018 and loves getting to know all the different personalities of the dogs. When she’s not at Dogtopia, you can find her watching Premier League soccer, checking out some live music, or visiting the beach with her family. Shannon loves a good lasagna and all things Halloween. Her birthday is on Halloween so she’s always been a big fan of the holiday, which apparently runs in the Dogtopia of Houston family.
