Ziya has been with Dogtopia of Kitchener since February 2020. She has loved animals her whole life. When she was 13 she rescued her first dog, which was a Dachshund she named BeiBei. Through BeiBei, she discovered dogs are intelligent and loyal. After this she fell in love with all dogs. For Ziya, working at Dogtopia is a dream come true. Ziya and her dog X are so excited, and look forward to meeting all of you and your pups. Let’s make more furry memories together at Dogtopia!
Lena, Canine Coach / Rover
Lena has been with Dogtopia Kitchener since February 2020. She has been passionate about animals her entire life. Although she’s never had a dog of her own, she has always had cats. Her grandmother raised show dogs and would often allow Lena and her sister to show them for her at events. Whenever Lena visited her grandmother, she would sit in her drawing room and look through her Canine Catalogues to learn about all the different breeds. Lena has provided pet sitting services for friends and family since she was 14 years old. It wasn’t until one of her friends helped her get a job working at dog daycare years ago that she realized that she would be happier working with dogs. Lena truly looks forward to come to work every day and says she wouldn’t want to be in any other line of work. Lena hopes to one day have her own animal rehabilitation sanctuary. Until then, she is looking forward to meeting your pups and loving every day at Dogtopia.
Daksha, Canine Coach
Daksha has been with Dogtopia of Kitchener since June 2020. She says she had always heard people say that dogs are “man’s best friend” which she admits she never believed at a young age. The reason why she never believed this is because she was terrified of dogs when she was a kid. Daksha discovered her best friend who happened to be a dog when she was only 8 years old. She was sitting outside of her home wanting to talk to someone but found no one around. It was to her surprised that a puppy came out of nowhere and sat beside her! She spoke her heart to this puppy and he listened more patiently than any person could have. This is where her journey and love for dogs started. Daksha’s love for dogs has never stopped since that day. She says that the love and loyalty a dog gives us is truly beyond words! When she was a little older Daksha started a small summer business where she took care of the neighborhood dogs. It was only when she moved to Canada that she missed dogs so much. Daksha says this void was filled by her 1 year old Husky named Sky and by her favorite job of all time – Dogtopia. Working at Dogtopia has given her a chance to work with all the wonderful pups in our community and Daksha says that she will never forget any of our dogs, she will always remember the memories shared and all their kisses!
