Charis and Xerxes Wania, Co-Owners
Charis and Xerxes are the Co-Owner of Dogtopia of Kitchener and along with their senior boxer, Kiara, make a perfect team. After researching several businesses and franchises they engaged with Dogtopia to provide the best Daycare, Boarding and Spa in the Kitchener Waterloo area. They are more then happy to meet you and your dogs.
Robyn Cowey, General Manager
Robyn has been with Dogtopia since December 2019. She comes to Dogtopia with 13 years of business and people management. She has grown up with dogs her entire life and is currently the proud mom of a spunky 6 year old Min Pin named Pretzel. Dogtopia has offered Robyn a career which combines her love for dogs and passion to help people be their best. She is honoured to support a community of staff and pet parents who value responsible, loving relationships with dogs. Robyn considers every dog in our pack a part of her family!
Katie, Rover / Health and Safety Officer
Katie is an avid animal lover and is working towards her Veterinary Office Assistant certification. While she doesn’t have any pups of her own she is a proud pet parent of two cats! You can always catch Katie giving our pups lots of love and attention! She is grateful for the opportunity Dogtopia has given her to create bonds with so many wonderful pups and looks forward to helping the Dogtopia team with her experience and knowledge of Health and Safety procedures.
Max, Canine Coach/ Rover
I am a proud pet parent to my sassy, 4 year old French Bulldog, Freddy. In my spare time I enjoy going to the park with Fred, helping my family out and socializing with my friends. I’m grateful for the opportunity that Dogtopia has given me to learn more about dog breeds and each of their amazing personalities and characteristics, as well as getting to have SUPER FUN slumber parties with all my furry boarding 4-legged friends
Mariana, Shift Lead
Mariana was born and raised in Mexico, she is a former English Teacher who loves all kinds of animals and has grown up with a variety of them; including dogs, horses, bulls, and rabbits. She has owned multiple dogs and horses since she was a kid. She is an avid horseback rider and proud mom of a 5 years old Rhodesian Ridgeback named Bruno and a 2 years old Chihuahua named Camelio. Her passion for animals is what brought her to work at Dogtopia and she would like to further create relationships with dogs and their pet parents.
Riya, Canine Coach
Introducing Riya, a dedicated caregiver to her two beloved companions – Jasper, a 4-year-old German Shepherd, and Leo, a 5-year-old Pomeranian.
Originally from India, Riya commenced her professional journey as a physiotherapist, catering to both human and animal clients, including dogs, cats, horses, squirrels, and birds, within NGO and private clinic settings.
Driven by her profound affection for canines, Riya has transitioned her expertise to Dogtopia, where she delivers unparalleled care and affection to dogs. Combining her clinical proficiency with a genuine passion for these remarkable creatures, Riya is instrumental in providing comforting massages that are greatly appreciated by our furry friends.
