Meet the Team
Kris Modica, Owner/Operator
Kris has enjoyed working with animals all of her life. For the last 5 years, she has volunteered and fostered for Magnificent Mutts & Meows. Her dream became a reality when she and her husband, Scott, purchased the first Dogtopia franchise in Illinois. Kris is also a proud mother of 3 kids, 3 dogs, 2 cats & a bearded dragon (pictured with her own dogs, Buddy, Roy & Elf).
Theresa Napolitano, Manager
Theresa has been working with dogs for 18 years. Starting in training and rescue and now in the daycare setting for over 6 years. She makes sure everyday your dog is active and healthy by providing a safe, positive social experience at Dogtopia. She’s a mother of 4 and together with her husband, Phil, they act as a foster family for several difference rescues. She loves what she does and looks forward to seeing your dog soon (pictured with her own dogs, Jane & Leo).
Nadine Ocasio, Assistant Manager
Nadine has worked with animals for over 14 years. She loves seeing customers come in everyday with their dogs, even with busy lifestyles, because they care so much for their dog. Nadine has the art of creating fun and safe play groups. She has a calm presence and a welcoming smile for humans and dogs, when they walk in the door (pictured with her own dog, Duke).
Ian Robinson, Canine Coach
Ian has been working with dogs for over 5 years in daycare and rescue. You will find Ian often dancing and singing to his dogs on the webcams. The dogs love him! Ian always says one of the best parts of his day is spending time in play group (pictured with Dogtopia dogs, Luther & Levi).
Daisy Melendez, Canine Coach
Daisy has been working with dogs for the last 2 years. She loves being around dogs and in the future, would like to become a dog trainer. Dogtopia gives her the experience and knowledge every day. Daisy has a blue nose pitbull terrier and in her spare time, she makes safe and healthy dog treats with love being the first ingredient (pictured with her own dog, Levi).
Joanne Fennessy, Canine Coach
Joanne has been working with dogs for over 5 years. Always a passion since she was a child, dogs have always been a part of her life. She loves being in the toy box room, and giving a lot of hugs and attention to our dogs (pictured with Dogtopia dog, Duke).
Jackie Ziemski, Canine Coach
Jackie has been working with animals all her life. She’s interested in animal training and recently completed an internship with Brookfield Zoo and Shedd Aquarium, where she was working with dolphins, beluga whales, sea lions, and even rescue dogs! She loves being with the dogs and learning their different personalities (pictured with her own dog, Zoey & her gecko, Leo).
Nathan Huffman, Canine Coach
Nathan has been working with dogs for over 2 years. He loves interacting with the dogs and learning their own personalities. Nathan always wears out his dogs in play group physically and mentally, making a very healthy and tired dog (pictured with Dogtopia dog, Camo).
Debby Chance, Canine Coach
Debby is an all-around animal lover who enjoys meeting and getting to know all the different dogs at Dogtopia. She has so much fun in group, that you’ll see her dancing with her pups! Debby brings her positive outlook and presence to our dogs, and they love it (pictured with Dogtopia dogs, Alfie & Spanky).
Beth Santore, Canine Coach
Beth has been working with dogs for the last 2 years. She’s always loved animals, so being a canine coach was the perfect job for her. Beth is very passionate about her job, and loves getting to know each dog individually (pictured with Dogtopia Dog, Sesi).
