Loving to my anxious dog

You all do a great job! When my pup stays there it’s out of last resort because of her separation anxiety so it always comes with a sense of guilt. She usually comes home with something like scrapes or a cut, and that’s not anyone’s fault. That is because she spends most of her time trying to escape or frantically chewing I assume. So it’s not that I wouldn’t recommend Dogtopia because of the facility or staff, it’s that I just wish I didn’t have to board my dog at all.

I like the webcam coverage. The staff seems to genuinely care about the critters. The dropping off and picking up process is efficiently done and most importantly Tomah is anxious to go there

Professional personnel caring service

All of your employees are professional and very welcoming. They all greet Lilo with a cheerful and positive demeanor and they seem to genuinely care about her well being. I always feel good about dropping her off for the day.

I realize there are times when dogs being dropped off are ‘more than staff working’ and which then eliminates a staff person at the desk to to answer the phone — if the phone rings 3 or 4 x, send it to voicemail !!! THEN, have the staff call us owners back with an answer to the question, but you don’t have that feature, so i learned to call at a time where there are no ‘dropoffs or pickups’.

Also – the staff should be trained HOW TO PUT A ‘Choker Chain’ Properly on a dog. My dog “Jesse’ is an escape artist. He KNOWS when the choker is NOT properly connected — he CAN BACK-OUT and Run Loose by the front desk and IF someone ENTERS with the front door open, he is GONE – BYE-BYE Jesse — that happened once when i was there to pickup Jesse — I saw immediately the choker was NOT choking and he BACKED OUT OF IT and was LOOSE, fortunate noone was entering the building. Once that happened weeks ago, I ALWAYS look how Jesse is being ‘walked-out’, you have NEW staff and they do NOT know the proper way to put it on AND I immediately TELL the Handler, the choker is WRONG and I tell the handler to hold the leather collar, so I can remove the chain and PROPERLY put it back on Jesse — THIS IS VERY VERY Imortant, TRAIN your NEW Handlers the purpose of the choker chain — JESSE is FAST and Very Smart … thanx for keeping Jesse for a week while I was on Vacation. — I would appreciate a reply to my concern !!
