Dogtopia, the industry leader in dog daycare, boarding, and spa services has an immediate opening for an energetic and organized individual to be the star of our playroom as a Canine Coach! Extensive training is provided for this position, and we currently have part-time and full-time positions available.

We are looking for weekend help:

• Saturday, Sunday or both days
• Three weekend shift options:
• 7am-12:45pm
• 1:45pm-9:30pm
• 7am-5:45pm (break midday between 12:45pm-1:45pm)

Monday-Friday shifts are also available:

• 6:20am-12:45pm
• 6:45am-12:45pm
• 1:45pm-7:30pm
• 1:45pm-9:30pm
• 6:45am-7:45pm (break midday between 12:45pm-1:45pm)

*Holiday availability is required

*Must be at least 18 years old

Qualifications:

• Must love dogs
• Ability to spend up to 100% of work time standing
• Ability to work flexible days and hours throughout the entire week
• Ability to work cohesively with others in a fun, fast-paced environment
• Ability and confidence to manage a room of dogs
• Ability to lift/move playroom equipment that can be upwards of 30lbs

Responsibilities:

• Maintain control of a large group of dogs
• Caring for all furry friends as if they were a part of your family
• Recognizing and logging dog health and behavior notes
• Cleaning: disposing of dog waste, mopping, sweeping, cleaning playroom equipment
• Safely manage dog behaviors in play
• Engage, play, teach, and enjoy the furry friends!

Training:

This job is a great opportunity for anyone interested in entering an animal care and/or training field! Our training program, developed by canine behaviorists and veterinarians, will provide you with the expertise to care for dogs and help them be the best versions of themselves! At Dogtopia, you will learn:

• Grooming tasks such as baths and nail trims
• How to identify dog breeds and behaviors
• How to teach and reinforce positive behaviors in dogs
• How to “speak” dog by assessing their body language
• How to recognize certain health conditions

We are looking for energetic, customer and sales-focused individual who excel at building strong relationships—not only with existing pet parents but also by attracting new customers to grow our daycare.

As the face of our Dogtopia daycare, our front desk team plays a vital role in driving growth by

Responsibilities:

• Greet pet parents warmly, provide knowledgeable assistance, and ensure a positive experience from check-in to check-out.
• Handle check-ins and check-outs efficiently, process payments, and maintain accurate records in the system.
• Conduct follow-up calls, respond to inquiries, and engage with potential customers to schedule consultations and convert leads into sales.
• Drive sales and provide exceptional customer service by engaging with pet parents and understanding their needs.
• Actively sell daycare enrollments, wellness services, and other offerings by effectively communicating their benefits to pet parents
• Book daycare meet and greets, wellness services, and consultations while optimizing the schedule for efficiency.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver an outstanding customer experience at every touchpoint, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
• Support and participate in community events, outreach programs, and in-store promotions to attract new customers.
• Assist in the overall cleanliness of the facility, including tidying up common areas
• Achieve set sales targets provided by GM.

Requirements:

• At least 1-2 years in a customer, sales-facing, and lead management role, preferably in retail, hospitality, or pet care.
• Comfortable making recommendations, handling objections, and closing sales to achieve goals.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to think on your feet and handle customer concerns with patience and professionalism.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proactive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in an environment with dogs of all sizes
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
