At Dogtopia of Orland Park, we are happy to provide many services for pet parents and their dogs. Our dog daycare is the ideal hang-out spot for pups to meet furry friends as they improve their health and wellness. From brain games and agility exercises to bacon- and peanut butter-flavored bubble parties, adorable photoshoots, and much more, your dog will enjoy the enriching daycare activities we have planned throughout the day.

At night, our facility hosts our doggie guests who are enjoying an overnight or extended stay with our boarding service. Our team creates a doggie staycation that always gets five out of five paws! We also offer spa services, which includes various hygiene treatments completed by our dog spa specialists, making Dogtopia of Orland Park the go-to doggie destination.

Our 6,600 sq. ft. facility boasts four spacious, safe playrooms for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Smaller breeds are assigned to our Toy Box, where they can enjoy the day with pups of a similar height and playstyle; larger dogs thrive in our Gym, which has lots of space to play; older and calmer dogs appreciate spending the day in our Lounge playroom with like-minded friends, and our medium-sized dogs prosper in our Romper Room.

Although our playrooms vary to match the unique members of our Dogtopia Squad, we ensured that consistent safety and doggie wellness policies were implemented during construction and are continuously maintained. Each playroom includes play equipment and plenty of space for dogs to run, play, and exercise. We keep surfaces clean and tidy throughout the day, and our team sanitizes twice daily to ensure pups are feeling their best in a clean space that supports their health. Our team follows the strict guidelines set by Dogtopia’s Environmental Biologist and Veterinary Scientist to ensure each playroom is maintained to a high quality.

Our playrooms are very spacious and include rubberized floors, which support joint health, are easier on your dog’s paw pads, and are a breeze to clean since they don’t retain odor. Rather than the chain-link fences or dividers other facilities use to keep dogs separate, our playrooms are actual rooms with full soundproof walls and double-barrier doors, which limit distractions from neighboring pups and help contain any doggie escape artists.

Our HVAC systems, equipped in each playroom, are state-of-the-art and help clean and ionize the air using UV light. This keeps our facility climate-controlled for the perfect playtime temperature while circulating continuous fresh air for our playing pups to breathe. We may be a facility with a bunch of dogs, but you wouldn’t be able to tell by the smell!

Our boarding pups will enjoy a day of daycare full of socialization and play, followed by a safe and restful overnight stay. Pups can bring their beds or blankets when they stay overnight to feel at home. We offer the choice between a home-style crate or a private suite. We have two suites that are 4×4 and 4×3 for bigger dogs or pups that want to stay with their dog siblings. The other two suites are 3×4 and 3×3 for medium dogs and smaller dogs.

We also offer a full-service dog spa. Pet parents have the option to have their dog come home smelling and looking their best with a bath before pick-up. The spa has many treatments and grooming to help keep your pup looking and feeling great, including baths with moisturizing shampoo, brushouts, nail trims, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and haircuts and trims.

EXPERT CANINE COACHES AT DOGTOPIA OF Orland Park

Although our daycare dogs might be focused on playtime and their furry friend group, our team of expertly trained Canine Coaches is focused on our pups’ safety and well-being. Having undergone rigorous training on dog behavior and body language and completed a custom four-part curriculum designed by Dogtopia’s Registered Canine Behaviorist, our Coaches are highly skilled at handling dogs of various sizes, breeds, ages, and play styles. Our curriculum has been approved for continuing education credits from the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants and the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, ensuring that the most up to date material and training has been followed.

Throughout the day, our Coaches encourage socialization for dogs who need a little assistance breaking the ice, practice basic training to improve behavior, and keep a watchful eye on the pups in our care. As your dog spends more time with us, our Coaches become familiar with their personality and provide periodic report cards, which offer an overview of your dog’s day, the friends they played with, and tips to replicate training taught during daycare at home.

LIVE HD WEBCAMS IN EACH DOG PLAYROOM

Each playroom is equipped with live HD webcams that stream live footage during playtime. That means you can virtually join in on the tail-wagging fun and catch all those adorable doggie smiles as your pup plays with their pack. The only time we’ll turn off the livestream during the day is during lunchtime and naptime, which is between noon and 2:00 p.m.

If you plan to tune in on your phone, we have a free mobile app available for Apple and Android devices, and our livestream can also be accessed via our website.

OUR SAFETY-FOCUSED MEET & GREET EVALUATION

At Dogtopia of Orland Park, we ensure that all dogs enjoying our services have successfully passed our Meet & Greet assessment. Our team performs this initial evaluation to determine if our off-leash, open-play atmosphere is the right fit, which gives pet parents peace of mind that their furry friend is comfortable and in good hands (and among good paws).

When your dog arrives for their Meet & Greet, our expert evaluators will perform a nose-to-tail assessment on them, conduct a health history overview, and observe any potential reactions to our staff’s touch. Since daycare is a fun, engaging experience, it is important that our Canine Coaches can interact safely with your pup, especially during the activities and exercises they organize during the day. However, we will make note of any sensitivities in touch your dog may have to ensure they are always comfortable. Speaking of comfort, we’ll use this time to check how your dog responds to our home-style crates since this is where your pup will nap during the day and possibly sleep overnight unless you’ve opted to board with a private suite.

Our team also wants to see how your dog responds and engages with other pups—an essential element since they’ll be among other dogs in daycare. To observe this, we’ll create a controlled play space with like-minded pups like yours and assess how they respond. If this gets the green light, along with the other elements, your pup is set to attend daycare! If our team determines daycare might not be the right fit for your dog during this time, we encourage you to come back at a later date.

Though we don’t exclude dogs based on breed, there are some prerequisites for your pup to join our Dogtopia Squad:

• Your dog must be at least 12 weeks old
• If seven months and older, they must be spayed or neutered
• Up-to-date vaccinations, including Rabies, Bordetella, and DHLPP/DHPP (also known as “distemper/parvo”), given no less than 48 hours before attending Dogtopia of Orland Park. We also suggest the canine influenza vaccine, but we’ll advise you if it’s essential before reserving your pup’s visit.
• Free of any transmissible illnesses for 30 days
