Since opening in 2012, Dogtopia of Chesterfield has provided dog parents in Richmond, Chesterfield, Midlothian and the surrounding regions with a fun, safe place to drop off their pup. Our friendly, dog-loving team will make your dog feel at home. They’re dog parents themselves and will give your pup the same TLC they would their own pets.

Our clean and modern facility comes equipped with three large playrooms: The Gym, The Romper Room and The Toy Box. Dogs love playing outside, so we also offer a large enclosed outdoor, artificially-turfed playground where they can enjoy plenty of fresh air, weather permitting.

The indoor playrooms in our facility were designed with your dog’s comfort in mind. Each room comes equipped with rubberized flooring, similar to material used in daycares for children. It’s gentle on the pads of dog’s feet, and is also non-slip and anti-bacterial.

To further ensure your dog’s comfort each of our playrooms are independently climate-controlled. It’s always sunny and 70 degrees at Dogtopia of Chesterfield!

Check in on your pup throughout the day using the live webcams in our playrooms and outdoor yard. Get peace of mind and enjoy watching them play with their furry friends and our playroom attendants.

Daycare: The Dogtopia Way

Daycare at Dogtopia was modeled after daycare for children; we offer a fully supervised play environment that teaches valuable socialization skills. Many dog parents report that their pup’s behavior improves after a few days with us.

If you’ve noticed that your dog is gaining weight, they will receive plenty of fun exercise during their time with us. Our team of caring professionals will make sure that your pup is safe, happy and comfortable.

The only time your dog will be crated is during nap time between 12 pm and 2 pm. The rest of the day, they will enjoy fun activities in our off-leash open play areas with all the other happy and social dogs.

Here’s how your dog will spend their day with us:
7:00 am: Happy energetic dogs begin to arrive for a full day of play and fun
7:00am– 12:00 pm: Supervised open play time romping, sniffing, running and lounging
12:00pm– 2:00 pm: Optional lunch, followed by a well-deserved nap
2:00 – 7:00 pm:  Back out for more play and exercise before being picked up by Mom or Dad
