Meet the Team

Amber, Owner

Amber Sutton has always had a passion for animals and a desire to work with them. She’s spent several years volunteering at a Washington, D.C. rescue league and has always found the work rewarding. It was only natural for her to seek out a new career where she could combine her business skills with her love for animals. Amber enjoys the challenges of opening/owning her business and most of all enjoys handing a tired dog to their owner at the end of the day! Amber is passionate about her charitable work with rescues and looks forward to continuing those efforts through the business. Amber currently resides in Washington, D.C. with her husband, and her dogs Zeke & Bailey. Zeke is a happy Australian Shepherd who found his forever home with Amber after being rescued by the Washington Animal Rescue League. Bailey is a wild Corgi who is always looking for trouble. In her free time she enjoys travel, fitness and attending National’s baseball games.

Ashley, General Manager

Meet Ashley! However, it is most likely you know her by her alter-ego, Awesome Girl! She really loves her job here, getting to hang with all of the wonderful pups, but her true passion is fighting crime, and delivering justice! In her free time, Awesome Girl loves spending time cuddling with her awesome pals, Luther the Lab, and Kitty, the Kitty of course! Ashley is Pet First Aid & CPR Certified!

Kevin, Assistant Manager

Kevin has been with Dogtopia since April 2013. He is a dog dad to Holly (Cattle Dog) and a bird! He enjoys outdoor activities with all his dogs! Kevin is Pet First Aid & CPR Certified!

Robby, Groomer

Robby has been grooming them for 10 years! One day, after this, he hopes to open his own his own salon and create beautiful art on his canine canvases!

Fareshta, Shift Leader

Meet Fareshta! When she’s not having the best day ever at work, she enjoys traveling, trying new places to eat, and spending time with friends and family. She loves her 3 cats; Ace, Maya and Leo and she is hoping to rescue a pup to join her family! Fareshta wants to one day be a medical esthetician but until then she absolutely loves coming to work and seeing all her furry-friends <3 Fareshta is Pet First Aid & CPR Certified!

Britney, Playroom Manager

Britney loves to snuggle up to all the pups as well as host bubble parties!! At home, Britney has 3 cats, named Cat, Tom, and Penelope, a Rabbit named Masami, 2 birds named Michael and Sam, and 3 dogs named Phoebe, Cholula, Kristopherson! She also loves to bake, especially sugar cookies, and listen to true crime and comedy podcasts! Britney is Pet First Aid & CPR Certified!

Lindsey, Playroom Manager

Lindsey is a grateful Dogtopian who loves spending quality time with the pups in the room and writing them A+ cards about all their exciting Dogtopia adventures! Whether it’s an A+ card or an instagram story, there’s nothing that makes Lindsey happier than sharing the pups’ special moments with the pet parents! In their free time, Lindsey can be found at home reading anything from horror novels to philosophy, writing poetry and queer fiction, or working on an art project. Painting dogs is their specialty! Fun fact: Lindsey is a virgo, a proud member of the recovery community, and has a BA in Literature! Lindsey’s BFFF is their cat, Shiloh.

Abbey, Playroom Manager

A dog lover through and through, Abbey is always ready to provide pups with endless snuggles and activities that make each and every day the best day ever! Her favorite event day is bubble days because all the dogs are full of smiles and excitement all day long! When not at work, she enjoys drawing, writing, and playing D&D! She has a cat names Hi,Koo! and can’t wait to have a dog of her own, specifically a Kelpie named Anubis! Abbey is Pet First Aid & CPR Certified!

Tori, Front Desk Coordinator

Tori is an animal and nature lover by heart with passion for all creatures big and small–From the smallest mice to full sized draft horses! Her desire to work with dogs brought her into the animal hospitality industry as a young adult where she continues to thrive at Dogtopia of Springfield! She hopes to branch into professional dog training or equine veterinary science in the future, as well as have her own farm! Her favorite activities include working on her art projects, sewing, hiking, occasional horseback riding, and playing with her two rabbits–Gascoigne and Nadi! Tori is Pet First Aid & CPR Certified!

Flavia, Trainer

Say hello to Flavia! Although she grew up mostly with pits and labs, that did not stop her love for even the smallest breeds! Having her own yorkie named Fey, she knows a dogs true love of a simple game of chase. When she is not playing follow the leader with the pups in the romper or educating them in having good music taste, she is practicing her new guitar! Outside of being a passionate dog lover, she also has the same compassion for humans and hopes to pursue a career in children’s social work. Flavia is Pet First Aid & CPR Certified!

Tanya, Front Desk Coordinator

Introducing Tanya! Tanya is a proud member of the Dogtopia doggy cuddler team ! Her favorite activities include hugging and cuddling the pups. When she is not showing love to the pups here, she’s at home showing her own furry companions affection. Her furry babies include: Toppo and Dyspo the gerbils, Nico Robin the cat and Chicharito and Coco the chihuahuas! Tanya is Pet First Aid & CPR Certified!

Ashlee, Trainer

Ashlee is a loving mother to Rocky, Luna and Winter, a family of Shipoos. She is also our newest member of the puppy cuddler team! In her free time, she is cuddled up with her pups and catching up on new shows and movies. Ashlee is currently studying to become a veterinarian assistant, she will be attending ODU next semester, where she will continue to pursue her love for dogs! Glad to have her part of the pack! Ashlee is Pet First Aid & CPR Certified!

Kierra, Trainer

Hello Kierra! A dog lover since birth, came into the world with her BFFFs Chloe and Sophie waiting to start their lifelong adventure together. Her love for dogs then later extended to cats! She is currently a cat mom to Malachi, 3 year old tuxedo cat. When she is not popping bubbles with our pups, she is at home practicing the piano. She is also currently learning to become fluent in spanish. Happy to have someone who loves learning new things on the team!

Henry, Trainer

Henry comes into work everyday ready to interact with all our pups! Whether they are puppies, oldies, new clients or returning clients, Henry makes sure every Dogtopia dog is welcomed! When he’s not being the best Dogtopia welcomer, he is at home playing video games with his partner in crime; 15 year old Zia the beagle, next to him. Henry is seeking a career in Geology and even has a small fossil collection started! Henry is Pet First Aid & CPR Certified!

Kate, Canine Coach

Kate is a student at University of Florida, currently studying human and animal psychology. Her favorite part of the Dogtopia dogs, is see all their little cliques and friendships, their BFFFs while they are here for daycare! She also enjoys being able to apply what she learns at school, she loves to watch how the dogs interact, especially the excitement shake. Her favorite thing to do with them is follow the leader! When she is not at Dogtopia, she is driving around, while listening to music or with her furry companion Po the 15 year old chihuahua and dachshund mix. Glad to have her as a member on the team! Brenda, Canine Coach

Brenda is currently studying criminal justice at Nova. When she is not understanding crime scenes, she can be seen babying our pups, giving them kisses and cuddles. All the love our Dogtopia pups deserve! When she is not studying or mothering our pups, she can be found painting and listening to music. Her 3 partners in crime include Luna and Lola the chihuahuas and Rocky the rottweiler. Glad to have such affectionate team player! Brenda is Pet First Aid & CPR Certified!

Haley, Canine Coach

Hayley currently has two dogs, Val rottweiler mix and Boone the ridgeback coonhound mix, a turtle named George and a bunny named Oreo ! Hayley’s favorite thing about working at Dogtopia is getting to see new and different pups everyday, as they never fail to brighten her day. When Hayley isn’t at Dogtopia, making sure the pups are filled with love and cuddles, she is at home polishing her cooking skills and getting to spend time with her family. Hayley aspire to pursue a career in interior design in the foreseeable future. Haley is Pet First Aid & CPR Certified!

Alex, Canine Coach

Alex is looking to pursue a career in real estate and interior design at northern virginia community college. She is also a member of the Dogtopia cuddle team and she can often be seen giving the pups hugs and kisses, in between bubble sessions of course! Alex’s current BFFF is her cat Arwen.When Alex isn’t at Dogtopia having the most exciting day ever, she is at home perfecting her piano skills and broadening her music taste. Alex most learned skill from Dogtopia would have to be learning how to take care of others as well as herself. Glad to have someone as empathetic on the team! Alex is Pet First Aid & CPR Certified!
