We want to share with you some encouraging information from a study that recently became available. In a small cluster of patients (20) diagnosed with COVID-19 on a veterinary campus, none of their pets (12 dogs and 9 cats) tested positive for the virus. The veterinary students personally cared for domestic pets who lived within close quarters and had close contact with the students. In addition, there have only been two cases of pets contracting the virus worldwide with no evidence of contracting it their humans.
