Personalized to my dogs!

The staff at Dogtopia Bloomfield is what makes this place unique and why I would recommend bringing your dog here. I am 100% confident that my boys are being taken care of and are safe in their environment. Particularly with my senior dog who is 13.5 years old. They have taken the time to really understand him, his needs and his quirks and for that I’m forever grateful.

Things that I think anyone should be aware of when deciding on this facility are the following:

1. consider the size of your dog and activity level. They can handle all sizes of dogs but the space it limited for larger dogs. It can still be a great experience but it is a consideration.

2. they don’t allow for purchasing packages. But, instead have a “subscription-type” format where you commit every week to a certain amount of days. The discount depends on how many days per week you bring your dog. Not a fan of this at all and would be the number one reason I decide to make a switch. I travel for work and the number of times I leverage daycare varies. I’ll get charged for extra days in any given week I go over my days. And if I can’t bring my dogs in and don’t use my days up, I basically lose my days. No credits.

I still give them a 10 and it’s honestly because of the strength of their staff. I’ve been to a fair amount of day care facilities and this group is truly above average and why I keep coming back. For that I am forever grateful.

The staff is very friendly and you can tell they love animals. The place is very clean also. We’ve been bringing our dog here for years and no complaints. I love that I can watch my puppy play via their cameras. I know sometimes he gets anxious, but the staff recognizes this and give him extra love.
The only few tiniest dislikes would be no drop off on Sundays, holidays. As there are other dog day cares that allow this. Which I completely understand due to maybe staffing issues.
Another would be the late pick up fee. I think if a dog has been boarding for a certain amount of days, the late pick up fee should be waved.

All and all very happy. The staff is what brings us back. Great team

Nice staff, convenient.

They call ME by name, not just my doggies!!! I love everything about Dogtopia Bloomfield, MI. Prices are reasonable, Protein Bowls are better than my dry dog food at home… No wonder they’re excited upon arrival. Coaches & all staff are absolutely wonderful, accommodating, and knowledgeable. New services and activities are always mentioned in case we missed the emails. I’ve seen a change in my Rambo as he’s not afraid of humans anymore. Great Job!!!

Better system for securing appointments for boarding. I initially got quite the run around regarding odd drop off times, whether someone would be available to receive the dogs and getting the dates on the actual schedule. It all worked out in the long run, but stressful not knowing whether they had a place to stay when I had a early flight in the morning and no choice other than to drop them off the night before because of a 6am departure.
