Parker Dog Daycare

It's all about my quality time with BFFFs. You know - socializing, playing and being a smarty pants...sans the pants.

When you think of dog daycare, you might think of it only as a space for pups to be supervised during the day. At Dogtopia of Parker, we go so much further by treating pups to the Most Exciting Day Ever! We want their day to be filled with fun, interactive, and enriching activities that will have them feeling like an even greater canine citizen when they leave.

How do we achieve this? Our team of highly trained experts plan exciting activities throughout the day. This can range from our bacon- and peanut butter-flavored bubble parties that have our pups chasing tasty, dog-safe bubbles around their playroom to Arts & Crafts days where pups will channel their inner artist to create precious masterpieces. Our periodic photoshoots are also always a hit among dogs and pet parents alike; we choose from a variety of seasonal themes and set up a backdrop, props, and adorable outfits. The photos are always overflowing with cuteness—check out some of our past photoshoots on our Instagram!

We focus on three main areas supporting doggie well-being: learning, exercising, and socialization. Our team helps pups learn with brain games that help stimulate their minds as they strengthen their problem-solving skills. We love seeing those smiling faces and wagging tails when our pups achieve a puzzle or complete an activity! We also promote movement and exercise through agility-focused activities that help prevent doggie health issues that an inactive lifestyle can cause. With play structures and ramps situated throughout each playroom, dogs are always on the move. In fact, Dogtopia dogs take an average of 30,000+ steps in a day, while dogs at home may only average 4,000.

The bonds with BFFFs (Best Furry Friends Forever) that our daycare pups make are truly friendship bracelet-worthy! Being around like-minded dogs allows them to feel comfortable being themselves as they play in a space where they can explore freely and confidently. Socializing taps into their natural pack instinct as they form friendships and learn how to interact with other dogs. Our team is always there to encourage the dogs that need a confidence boost and will intervene at any moment if playtime gets a bit rougher than expected. Some pups need a break for some “me time” during the day, and we accommodate accordingly so that our playrooms are always a safe space to have fun.

Compared to dog parks, where you never know what types of dogs will interact with your furry family member, daycare at Dogtopia of Parker offers secure, indoor play where your pup will thrive in an off-leash, open-play environment with dogs that match their size, playstyle, and temperament. Plus, no matter the weather outside, playtime is always a go, which means no more sad puppy eyes begging you to go outside—they can now anticipate their visit to Dogtopia of Parker!

Dogs who attend daycare have more confidence in social situations with humans and other dogs, and are less destructive at home. To maintain consistency, we offer enrollment plans where your dog can enjoy a daycare routine. Our knowledgeable team is happy to assist if you have any questions about these plans.

EXPERTLY DESIGNED DOG PLAYROOMS IN PARKER, CO

When Dogtopia of Parker was under construction, we ensured that special attention was given to each component so that our furry guests would feel their best in our care, starting with our playrooms. We have four spacious playrooms in our large facility that are designed for pups based on their size and playtime vibe. If you have a large dog, our Gym playroom is the place for them to thrive and have space to get out their “zoomies.” If you have an older large dog, our Lounge playroom offers the space for them to play with similar calm pups. Our smaller breeds who are 35 pounds or less thrive in our Toy Box playroom, and the pups that fall somewhere in between enjoy our Romper Room.

We also have two, secure outdoor areas for pups to play in—our large outdoor space is great for large and medium-sized dogs, while smaller dogs can enjoy our secondary outdoor space that’s smaller (but will still seem big to them). Our team follows strict precautions to ensure playgroups won’t mix during this outdoor time, so pet parents can rest assured their pup sticks with the furry friends that they’ve been playing with indoors all day.

In our playrooms, dogs play on compressed rubberized flooring that promotes hip, joint and paw pad health and assists those with arthritis and other joint ailments. This material is easy to clean and doesn’t retain odor—both extremely important factors in a room with dogs! Rather than chain-link fences or unstable dividers that you might find at other dog centers, Dogtopia of Parker uses soundproof floor-to-ceiling walls that reduce noise and distraction from playing pups in neighboring playrooms. We’ve also taken the safety measure of using double-barrier doors so that there’s no chance for pups to make a run for it. In fact, our team often trains our daycare dogs on door control, which ensures our daycare dogs know when and where to sit and stay if the playroom door is open. This also translates to better behavior at home, as it helps reduce their reactiveness to visitors and arrivals.

Since we have indoor playrooms, we want to ensure the air in our facility is fresh, which is why we use advanced HVAC systems that circulate clean air while also helping keep each playroom climate-controlled; it’s always the ideal playing temperature as a result.

Our playrooms are deep-cleaned twice daily, ensuring that surfaces are sanitized for our furry friends. We also carry out regular detail cleaning to maintain the cleanliness of our playrooms. Our team only uses dog-safe cleaning products, including a bio-enzymatic cleaner for spot cleaning, and we closely follow the cleaning protocols set by Dogtopia’s Veterinary Scientist and Environmental Biologist. This ensures pet parents can trust us to prioritize their pup’s health and well-being by never using harmful chemicals during cleaning.

EXPERT SUPERVISING CANINE COACHES

Dogtopia’s Canine Coaches must complete a four-part training process with a curriculum designed by a registered Canine Behaviorist that’s been approved by the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants and the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. Our Coaches supervise each playroom and encourage learning, exercising, socializing and play among our pups. They can detect any changes in dog body language and behavior, allowing them to notice a potential disruption before it arises.

Since our Coaches are trained to manage large groups of dogs of all sizes and breeds, they can “communicate” with pups and understand their needs. This is why regular daycare visits can be beneficial, as our team learns to recognize your pup’s personality and preferences, leading to an even greater daycare experience each time. Our Coaches provide pet parents with periodic report cards that outline daycare behavior and the furry friends they made during the day. For our regular daycare attendees, we include extra tips on replicating some of our training at home.

DOGGIE PLAYROOM WEBCAMS

Even if it’s just for the day, being away from your dog can be tough. This is why we’ve equipped each playroom with HD webcams that livestream all the tail-wagging fun pups are having. You can access this livestream via our user-friendly app, available for Apple and Android devices, or on our website. The only time we turn our webcams off during the day is from noon to 2 p.m., which is our dog’s lunch and naptime, but we’ll be back shortly after so you can enjoy the playtime fun from wherever you are.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF DOG DAYCARE AT Dogtopia of Parker

Our facility opens for daycare at 7:00 a.m. during the week and 8:00 a.m. on weekends, so your pup can join our morning crowd of playing pups ready to release their built-up energy. That’s when our team will facilitate wellness-focused activities until it’s time for a lunch break at noon. Pups will refuel their play batteries during this time, chow down on some food, take any necessary medications (as outlined by their pet parent), and rest until it’s time to play again. At 2:00 p.m., daycare dogs are ready to return to daycare activities. Since our pups rest in their home-style crates located in the same playroom they were just playing in, they are already familiar with their environment, so the transition from crate to the playroom is seamless. During the lunch break and naps, our team completes another round of sanitization on all playroom surfaces.

When it’s time to pick up your dog, they will likely experience the common phenomena we like to call the Dogtopia Daze. After a full day of playing, learning, exercising, and socializing, our daycare pups are ready to drift off to dreamland when they get home (or even on the car ride).

During daycare, pet parents can also book a trip to our modern, full-service spa. We offer a range of hygiene treatments, including teeth brushing, ear cleaning, baths, nail trims, and more. Leave your pup’s pampering to our expert team, who will have them feeling like a million bones.

OUR COMMITMENTS TO SAFETY

Our facility follows all the Commitments to Safety that Dogtopia implements, including:

  • 8-10 hours of open-play to encourage socialization and exercise
  • Certified Canine Coaches trained to manage and educate all breeds of dogs
  • A universal vow to treat your dog like a member of the family
  • Health and safety of your dog guided by a biologist, behaviorist and veterinarian working together
  • A charitable cause that enables dogs to give back to humanity
  • A passion for providing both pet parents and pups the best possible service

As part of our safety precautions, Dogtopia of Parker enforces daycare requirements that Dogtopia corporate has set in place. While all breeds are welcome, we do have certain parameters that we follow. For instance, all dogs must be at least 12 weeks old and have up-to-date vaccinations, including Bordetella, Rabies, and DHLPP/DHPP (also known as “distemper/parvo”), while dogs aged seven months and above must be spayed or neutered. Before attending daycare, your pup should be in good health and free of illness in the past 30 days. Additionally, since daycare dogs interact with other dogs, food, and toys, all dogs must be non-aggressive or toy-protective.

An additional safety measure we take starts before your pup attends daycare; they must pass our Meet & Greet assessment. Our trained evaluators will perform a quick but thorough check to determine if our off-leash, open-play environment is the right fit for your dog. During this time, we will perform a nose-to-tail wellness check, note how your pup responds to our staff’s touch, determine how comfortable they are in our home-style crates, and see how they respond when put in our controlled mini-play space with like-minded dogs. We will make our observations and let you know if your pup can enroll in daycare or if they need just a bit more time to feel comfortable in this environment.

Use our convenient online form to request a Meet & Greet at Dogtopia of Parker, or give us a call at 303-276-7636.
