At Dogtopia of Katy, we can be that home away from home for your furry family member where they can enjoy all of the benefits our daycare has to offer, and receive constant attention and care form our certified Canine Coaches – and from their new furry friends, of course. After hours of play in our off-leash, open-play environment, your pup can settle down for the night in a place they know and trust.
DOG BOARDING IN KATY, TX
We offer two different boarding options for our pups at Dogtopia of Katy: standard homestyle crates or semi-private suites. Most of our boarding dogs spend the night in homestyle crates placed in our playrooms —the same crates they were in during nap time. This makes our pups extra comfortable because of the familiar surroundings, and they are near the furry friends they spent the day playing with. Typically, pet parents who have multiple dogs prefer our semi-private suites so their pups can spend the night together in the same space, just as they would at home.
With either boarding option, please feel free to bring along your pup’s bedding or food to make this truly feel like a home away from home. We have found these reminders make the overnight experience that much more enjoyable and comforting.
To ensure your pup has a comfortable stay from day until night, we require most dogs to attend daycare a minimum of 2 days within 60 days prior to your boarding stay. This will ensure your dog is comfortable with our facility, has made some friends before staying with us and our staff knows your dog. Our highly trained team will provide feedback and let you know if your dog is ready to board.
WHAT’S ON THE BOARDING ITINERARY?
Our boarding dogs get to enjoy up to 10 hours of play in our off-leash, open-play environment. Along with our daycare pups, our certified Canine Coaches fill their day with brain games and exercises disguised as fun activities with their new BFFFs (Best Furry Friend Forever).
Playtime occurs in the morning from 7AM – 12PM, and then again in the afternoon from 2PM – 7 M. Between playtime hours, we provide our dogs with a bit of “me” time from 12PM – 2PM. This gives them some time to nap in our home-style crates and allows our staff the opportunity to safely dispense food for our pups who eat lunch and/or medication, if applicable. Our team also takes this time to thoroughly clean our playrooms using a pet-friendly, biologically safe cleaner.
We also plan multiple “treat days” for your pup to have the opportunity to enjoy a fun snack, like dog-friendly tacos and peanut butter-filled Kongs during their lunchtime from 12 PM – 2 PM. Proceeds from these days benefit the Dogtopia Foundation along with helping us reach our $6,000 goal to fund our first service dog.
SAFE & QUALITY BOARDING FOR KATY DOGS
Our brand-new facility offers just over 6,200 square feet and includes three different playrooms, two evaluation rooms, two outdoor areas, a spa, and a break room to store the parent-provided meals for our boarding pups.
Each of our playrooms is climate-controlled with an HVAC system, which allows your dog and their furry friends the opportunity to run around and play in a well-circulated, purified space – rain or shine. Our outdoor areas are also a great environment to get some fresh air and soak in the sunlight.
To ensure our daycare pups can easily make new furry friends, we have three designated playrooms at our facility – the “Toy Box” for our smaller pups and those who have special needs, the “Gym” for our larger breeds, and the “Romper Room” for our dogs that fall somewhere in between. This helps us make sure playtime is a safe place for all our dogs and that they have the most exciting day ever at daycare.
During playtime, our pet parents can rest assured knowing our certified Canine Coaches are there to not only supervise but also to encourage learning and playing. They are experts at maintaining control of large groups of dogs of any breed, size, and temperament, and are trained in dog body language, which can help prevent any issues. Since our coaches are constantly supervising, they can provide our pet parents with in-depth report cards that outline your dog’s behavior, the furry friends they have been playing with, and tips from our coaches on ways you can take what your pup learned at daycare and replicate it at home.
Our playrooms are subject to deep cleans multiple times a day using a pet-friendly, biologically safe cleaner. We also utilize UV lighting to help keep bacteria at bay. Our compressed rubber flooring, which you can find in each playroom, also helps to keep our space sanitized, while at the same time being easier on dogs’ joints and paws than the hard floors found in our competitors’ facilities.
ACCESS TO OUR PLAYROOM WEBCAMS
Extended time away from your pup can be tough, which is why we have equipped webcams in each of our playrooms so you can virtually join in on the playtime fun. You can find the privately accessible webcam stream via our free Dogtopia app or through our website during playtime hours.
ADD A SPA SERVICE
We like to think our boarding dogs are on a staycation with us, which is why we offer spa services that we can easily add to their stay. Whether you have a particular service in mind or want to splurge on a “Full Spa” package, (which includes the bath and blowout, ear and teeth cleaning, nail trim, and anal gland check), our spa staff can’t wait to pamper your pup! All pups staying overnight for four consecutive nights or longer automatically have a required bath added to their boarding reservation to ensure your pup goes home looking and feeling like a million bones!
